High volume lid only?

Anyone tried putting Icebox High volume lid only (without the cold air intake parts) on stock? Any change in throttle response?

The reason I ask is.. there's lot of rain here in where I live so I'm a bit concern about icebox sucking water...

I wonder if it is the High volume lid that contributes the most to better throttle response...

Been discussed before, but if you think about it, you'd have to drive in water above the bottom of the door on the car for it to reach the velocity stack on the Comptech setup. I've run mine in rain to the point where you can't see 1 foot in front of you as well as through some deep water. I've not had an issue with it in the 3 years or more that I've been running mine.

Yup. Hydrolock's only a concern if you drive through something that would not be referred to as a puddle, but rather as "a body of water". It's really not something to be concerned with, and the benefits of colder air into your engine (versus a hot air intake AKA short ram intake) are worth it (especially on a boosted car).
