So if you're looking for a sinlge outlet HyTech won't be able to help you
thanks for checking and i guess it's the same dual unit for the 06(even though the motors are a little different, but not the exhaust manifold)

i will still keep them in mind when i start shopping exhaust, but i might be leaning towards the j's racing exhaust now

I am out in the OC for work and stopped by hytech and ordered my header from John. If I had more money I would have gotten the whole set-up: header, cat, exhaust, cams, valve springs, retainers, VTC, and custom Hondata re-flash. John has pre-bent all the pipes to build 25 TSX headers, he just needs the time to weld them up...he said it will be 2-3 weeks to get my header

I believe that should be 25 TSX headers and exhausts for 25 complete systems. Can't wait for the quiet one

TodaSi: What will your exhaust system set-up consist of? What will you mount the header to? As I am told by John his header isn't compatible to anything unless you getting a special custom one?

John has 3 levels of cams available for the TSX, I would just love to have them but can't take my car to Hytech to get a custom re-flash because I live in Michigan. What we need is someone to get the header/exhaust and cams then have them dyno tune a re-flash so they can just sell the kit! Come on SoCal people hook it up!
I'm confused, why do we need to have Hytech provide a dyno tuned reflash for the cams? Couldn't we just send them our ECUs for a reflash specifically coded for the cams? I want new cams, but I don't want to send my car out to SoCal to get them...

After talking with John, he already has the tuning done for his cams. So the re-flash is done, you would just need to get Hytech's custom re-flash if you get his stuff.

TSX2345: right now I'm just getting the header because that's all I can afford, plus I just bought Volk Ce28n rims, so that's it for a while. I may just set the exhaust in the garage while waiting for more $. I may hook it up to the stock exhaust with a custom mini test pipe to hook it up to the cat....or something. It's not gonna do much good until I get a reflash, so it just may sit while I purchase up the pieces one by one. We'll see.

No way I would be able to let that shit around anywhere.

You should order it right now, by the time it's ready you will have the money saved up and ready.

I have been waiting for over a year now, after acquiring Shaang's HyTech it's definately worth the wait.

YES, it is worth it. Every Penny, even waiting. Allows time to save up

It's like driving totally different car.

How much does it cost to have it all installed on my 07 Automatic TSX, and can I take it to pretty much any mechanic to install it or will it have to be a specific kind of place?

The header requires some skilled maneuvering to fit.

It's easy though, I've have installed and removed the system a few times

If either you or Damon talk to John again, can you guys clarify if his reflash allows the VTC to go to 45 degrees? If so, would his cams include a VTC mod for this?

I could've swore a few posts around here said that you can't do it with a reflash. This contradicted my last conversation with John. Then again, I might of misunderstood him.

Reflash doesn't allow VTC advance 45 degrees.

Remember Shaang has the modded VTC and was not able to utilize the modded VTC with the HyTech reflash

It's my understanding that John's program would allow 50 degree advance IF I install the '06-'07 pistons, but if I don't, then the program will only advance a total of 45 degrees. Of course I would have to buy and install the RSX typeS VTC for it to work as the stock TSX can only go to 20 degrees.
So, maybe things have changed since Shaang did his stuff.

Thanks. That was what I was told on the phone -- the reflash on John's calibration for cams could accomodate a cam advance of 45 with a modded VTC or an RSX-S VTC.

Hmmm

I remember from the 1-on-1 tuning Shaang had with Doug @ Church's when the HyTech reflash was created, reflash won't allow VTC advancement beyond 20 degrees.

Remember when he had the KPro temporarily hooked up? It made the impressing TQ #'s

I called John earlier - I stand correct the reflash has limited VTC advancemnt.

"John's program" could possibly mean Roger Foo's calibration on the you-know-what.

Thats my guess
