Headers - Comptech vs DC Sports (Advise required)

Hi Folks,

Would like to get some feedback on the advise on the headers among the 2 brands - Comptech vs DC Sport.

Please list / share your experience.

Which one has a better gain ? (where is the gain - low, mid or high rpm?)

Which one is LESS noisy ?

I understand that both are made from differnet materials and there is a price gap as well.

Many thanks

DC sport doesn't deserve your money... the quality of their header is shocking. I know of a number of people who regret buying it because it is prone to breaking/falling appart. Comptech shows slightly lesser gains but it's a much better quality unit and I don't know of anyone that has a problem with it.

hi Chris_F,

Do you know if there are any header brands from Australia ?
I'm residing in Singapore and purchase via Australia would probably be more feasible.

Cheers

No header is manafactured in Australia that I know of. What car do you have? If it's a euroR there will be fitment issues with any header designed for the TSX or standard accord/ accord euro.

www.centraxauto.com.au can order and send you the same header that i have on my car (m-bit maxim works) but it's quite expensive and requires a euroR sized cat (if you don't have a euroR) and I'm very happy with mine. Toda is another option.

Id say for a reasonably priced header to go with comptech.

FYI, a couple of articles that Jaff Palmer over at TOV wrote regarding the DC Sports and Comptech Headers for the TSX:

I have a DC Sports Header on my TSX and the gains were strong ... The only complaint that I have is the annoying "hissssing" noise under my heavy foot. I often hear it over the growl of the intake, with over 35k on the header I havent had any leaks or any other problems. Good luck!

The hondatech stuff has only just been finalised. I think it'll be a few months before It's officially released. From memory, the combined I/H/E pacakge with reflash has shown an impressive 44kw (60hp) increase over stock

I'll take one whenever it's ready.
