Injen is CARB approved same with the ice box. Injen has a much louder and more aggressive note compared to the ice box. As for air flow they are both about the same, and both about the same for horsepower increase. I personally have the Injen intake and love it and it's convertable to short ram for the rainy seasons.

If you read Injen's dyno results other than what asahi's did Icebox Vs. Injen (https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25092), Injen is actually have pretty good gain after 3000rpm. The result is similar to JTso's dyno result w/ K&N Typhoon.
ToV dyno, AEM Vs. Icebox.

Jeff@ToV's comment over Icebox :
the AEM makes slightly more power but a lot more noise. I found the ICEBOX to be more fitting to the character of the TSX. The Icebox actually makes a bit more power at the upper end of the rev range (not more PEAK power, but more in that range) - after it peaks, the torque curve of the AEM falls off more rapidly than the Icebox, so the Icebox actually pulls better above 6800 rpm or so.
