GTech Pro Meters

Does anyone know how accurate the G-Tech Pro Meters truly are?
http://www.gtechpro.com/ss.html

I know this couldn't be used and compared with official track times and slips, but I think it would be kind of fun to have one to check out differences before and after mods.

It's not bad for some before and after numbers even it's not 100% accurate. Just imagine the cost of a few dyno runs. You can easily buy one of these units with the money saved. I would get the RR for the extra computer download capability though. For what it's worth, I have the old school G-Tech and it registers 0-60 in 6.36 seconds, whereas my scan tool registers 6.33 seconds. The scan tool connects to the diagnostics port and reads the Vechicle Speed Sensor (VSS).

I haven't been able to get mine to register well on my stock TSX because the amounts of wheel hop throws the readings off.

It's got more to do with shock damping than the tires.

It was either Road & Track or Car & Driver did a piece on this topic within the last couple of years and the Gtech was rated as accurate

For checking the efficiency of mods I use a stop watch and monitor my 30-80 time.

Most effective mod seems to be the cooler temps and lower humidity of winter
