Got Reflashed

I just installed the ECU and everything back in that I got back from Hondata and I must say the gains at WOT are noticeable but I cant really feel the power in everyday driving...I am still happy about the reflash but I thought I would have noticed something a little more in my butt dyno.

I would have guessed as much looking at the dyno charts.

Most all of the power gains the reflash will provide are above 4500 rpms, which would not have any positive effect on the kind of driving I do 95% of the time anyway (around town).

Now if it bumped the HP and torque by 25-30 throughout the ENTIRE rev range, that would be a killer value for the money. Thats the limitations of a I-4 engine though...only powerful when revved the hell out of, and not much you can do to change that besides adding forced induction.

At first, I thought the same thing. After a few power runs, the ECU learned and it changed the characteristics permanently. The Injen intake was definately louder and raspier while I got pushed into my seat more.

Congrats on the reflash.

You'll like it more as you drive it, but the change is definitely subtle. Life is great at WOT above 5000rpm. As many have said before, this is probably the way the car should have come from the factory.

When i first got the reflash i felt the same way... but after a few days of driving the car felt faster and pulled harder after shifts with hard acceleration. I then noticed the difference

I just have the reflash so far, but some guys go with a CAI, header and even cat back exhaust.

There's also the Hondata head gasket and JTso's throttle body bypass, which add a little more power and enhance the effects of the reflash.

You don't necessarily need to get mods before the reflash. However, an intake and header will complement your reflash best.
