ok... been looking around for this but cant seem to find it so I'm going to post here again. I'm looking for the size for the screws that go under the foglight. The screws you use to adjust the aim of the fogs. I already know they're step screws, just need a size from someone. Preferably from someone who bought their fogs from ebay. Thanx

OKay I just used the mrheeltoe wire hanress on oem fogs no problems really but a few small fitment issues that just had to be figured out yourself.

Foglights only come on when you have your hid lights so you need a separate controller to have more freedom .

So the Mrheeltoe worked out then? you said the fogs only come on with your headlights? And then you said you need a seperated controller for more freedom? Are you talking about the common problem with having the fog lights on the stalk instead of having the button so you can turn them on and off as you please?
What kind of "fitment issues" are we talking about too?

Ok so i think i might have this figured out now. Under the fusebox is what looks like the fog light relay. If you just bypass this relay the fog lights might work anytime. I will try this when i have some light outside. if anyone else wants to try it let me know if it works. I figure connecting the white to the blu/black is just bypassing the fuse and will not do anything. but if you bypass the first or last relay might bypass the headlight input.

Just plugging things out and in
it took forever to open the fuse box and those clip retainers.

This has already been done.

you just can't bypass the relay. If you look under the hood, you will see the fog relay. you need to find the blue black wire in the harness that goes to the relay. cConnect a wire to blue/black and to ground and the fogs will come on. Now, its up to you how you want to make the fogs come on. Once you connect this ground the fogs will be on all the time, so you need to use a switch or relay. I used both, and used a fog switch from the honda accord. fit the dash perfect.
The fog relay is hot all the time, wheather the ignition is on or not. The fog relay only needs to be grounded. My fogs are wired so they only come on if the parking lights are on. That way if I leave the fog on, when I cut the car off the fogs will turn off by themselves. That factory swith will still work the same. Once I turn my parking lights on, I can use my honda switch to turn the fogs off and on. Once I turn the headlights on, I can use with the OEM switch or the other.

There is no easier way. If you want to disconnect the the wires from the OEm fog swtich, you could use it, but you would still need second relay. It just the way honda wires the fogs. My mazda took just a simple wire change and everything was fine , with the OEm switch. I could turn the fogs on when I want.

So has anybody used this method on their 06 with success?

So, where do you get a good oem-fit foglight switch to use for this? eBay turns up nothing good for me.

Finally got my 06 tsx fogs to work independently of the headlights switch. Not hard to do, but not a job for the novice. You will have to get a seperate rely and another switch. It is the Only way to do it right. The way I rewired it, the fogs will come on with the parking lights, since I used the hot from it to power the second relay. This also means if I leave the fogs on, they will cut off automatcally, when the parking light do.
Do you have a picture of where to find the "hot" from the parking lights? Or a clearer description on how to use the hot to power the second relay?

And also, can you get a second relay from honda?

We need a "Rewire for Dummies" diagram because I have no idea what you folks are talking about. I want to do this to my '06 but have no idea where to start.

no kidding...I took the easy way out, I think.

I re-wired my stock 04 lights, but I took the "easy" or dumber way by just buying a new harness kit with lights so I could use the enclosed switch and could run it with just parking lights or with high beams. Also, if you are wanting just the switch, most Honda dealers sell an 03-03 accord switch for 19-20 bucks which fits perfectly into the knock out.

What I did was pull the liner for the right wheel well down. then you can gain access to the parking light wire. Use the same instructions that are used for changing the parking light bulb in your manual. The relay you can get from radio shack, Just ask for an automotive relay. Auto Zone will have them too.

OK, forgive me cause I'm a visual learner here, but, why is the relay needed?

Seems I could just run the hot line from the parking lights to the switch, then back over to the fog lights and patch into their hot line. No extra grounding necessary, just 2 long cable runs. Of course, hot DC runs always make me nervous. This isn't something I'd do to my car.

dwest it does seem like you've figured out the best setup, i just haven't gotten it into my head how you did it. I gotta come see it sometime and take pics.

It IS the best way. The best part is, if you leave the fogs on, they will cut off by themselves with the regular lights.

I tried to find that relay, but...

1996 TSX. I tried to find those wires under the fog lamp relay under my fuse box in the engine compartment. No luck. Nothing really stood out as the relay or even on the diagram inside the lid. Anybody got any pics of exactly which wires I need to jump for those fog lights to work?

Thanks!
