finally found my cheap intakes.

victory, hop up racing are going to get my order.
202 $$ US for Typhoon
215 $$ US for INJEN
shipped

all i need to decide is which is the better choice.
Injen: the black would be interesting
- seems to have just a tad bit more gains than typhoon
- a little more costly

Typhoon: would be hot with the red. love the colors
- is cheaper
- heard that a part of the filter touches against something that makes extra noise, and extra padding was needed to muffle out vibbration.

i want quality basically. cant decide. i wish i could hear them both, cuz i want the noisier one for sure.
could anyone give me some last second help on the choice.

i have the black intake on my cg tsx. looks hot. not as flashy as the k&n red, but prefer the shorter overall length of the intake compared to the k&n

Hmm... I ordered a red K&N from Hop-Up on 2/5 and it hasn't shipped yet. I sent them an e-mail 2 weeks ago and they responded the next day saying they sent the order in to K&N and it should be shipping soon.

However I e-mailed them today and didn't get a response. I can be patient if the K&N isn't on hand b/c its a good price, but I'm getting antsy as the weather is getting warmer.

I ordered an Injen off ebay and had a very good experience. Ended up $200 shipped for a polished silver (no choice in color). I however sold it because I wanted to go w/ the red color of the K&N and drycharger.

I ordered the K&N Typhoon from Adventon.com. $176.04 plus shipping. They had to order the intake fron K&N but it is being delivered today. I had called other suppliers and none of them stocked the K&N and their prices were more. I recieved my confirmation on the order from adventon the next buisness day. Total time with shipping approx 2-1/2 weeks.

Sent a slightly-threatening e-mail to hopup last night about getting my shipping information and discouraging other buyers on the forum if they did not do it quickly. And I got a response 1hr later (at 11pm PST).

My intake shipped from K&N on the 20th and will arrive today

No one seems to stock K&N stuff on hand but just places orders to the warehouse so I wouldn't expect fast shipping from any company.

Looks like you just gotta apply a little pressure to get a tracking # once the intake does actually ship from K&N. The hopup guys were pretty decent though, they called to confirm my order (first time that's ever happened) the day I placed it. Just a little slow on the e-mail, you might have better luck on the phone.

I don't believe any of the dealers have them in stock. Mine was drop shipped directly from K&N as well.

on hop up , you put in postal code for shipping price. it would be 15 $$ to AZ. so if i want the injen, i want black, 8$ more. so the difference is small and i just want the one thatll be more satisfying, ragradless of price.

got mine today. I'd suggest calling, probably not worth the hassle of waiting for replies to e-mails.

from the website given by domn, i found that it offers the AEM short ram system for TSX...weird, cuz the AEM official website (www.aempower.com) says that the TSX short ram is "coming soon", plus that i gave the AEM technician a call a few days ago and they said the thing is not out yet

weird

I just ordered the engine dress up hoses and injen oil cap today( just cause i was bored and money burns a hole in my pocket).

ultrarev.com is located on Long Island. I ordered my camber kits thru them and they were great to deal with.
