Exhaust worth it for AT?
Exhaust worth it for AT?
I'm just curious to see if a catback exhaust system for an AT will help me achieve the deep growl I want. I know without flooring it, it usually shifts around 3-4k and I just want an input from all the AT owners with a catback exhaust system like.. EVO2, Skunk2, or the Dc Sports if I'll be able to hear anything around those rpms.
Also, how would you rate the noise level(dB I think?) of those 3 exhausts?

it's not going to be any different for the AT than the MT. Most people here stick with either comptech, greddy, or tanabe. You should take a look at those 3. All give pretty good exhaust notes. I personally think the greddy and the comptech sound the best.
exhaust by itself on our cars is never really "loud" but add the RT cat and a Header and you will get some serious sound. I have the Comptech cat back and when I first put it on you couldn't really tell, then I installed the RT cat and now it has a nice deep grumble and is much louder than before the cat. I have yet to install a header, been waiting for Comptech to start producing headers again, so now that they are I am looking to pick one up and I will post the results for sound!
As far as sound level is concerned from what I have heard:
1). Greddy Evo 2
2). Tanabe MT
3). Comptech (quietest of the group)
