Difference between Cold Air Intake and Short Ram?

I am loking in to upgrading my air intake system, but I am unsure of the benefits and differences between the two? Any suggestions as to which is better, kinda new to this?

There are a lot more threads, but this should give you a pretty good idea. The topic has been covered several times before.

This is perfect use for an internet or web search engine!

You can put search terms into them and find related information. In some cases, it might even be the answer to the exact question you're asking!

there right you should search butt cai is located in the fender well and sri is in engine bay. b/c the cai is longer it give better torque on the bottom end but you lose some power in the high rpms because of the length of the piping. sri is better for top end sikkne it can get the air moving faster and since its in the engine bay it get a little warmer. this warmness wont make you lose a lot of powwer about 1 hp. i have an aem sri in red because i like the look of the filter on the engine and have a dryer hose from the fog light cover that i cut slits out of to the hole where the old piping use to be. cai does have a chance of hydrolock so if you go this route you need a bypass valve.

I bought a ($50)K&N drop in filter and finally had time yesterday and removed the resonator chamber on the stock intake. I still have that rubber tube pointed down behind the driver headlight where it draws air from there. Its way loud when im on it. Its a cheap way to achieve some sound. Not sure if I have made any gains but Vtec sound is louder.
