DC Header and Comptech exhaust

I was wondering if anyone has the DC header with a comptech exhaust? I want to get headers, but I think the comptech are overpriced. What do you guys think?

The DC headers produce more power than the CompTech but are maybe not build as well depending on who you talk to. I have a DC header and i did notice a gain but I haved had several small challanges with the header. Its all good now and I am happy with the results.

i have said numerous times before. DC quality is crap. Any product that is cheap, like DC, and can be "dealer" installed(Honda) isnt worth it. Even though i also think Comptech is overpriced and not worth it . OR......I am just being a whiny bitch today (its friday and i want the 3 day weekend here already!)

Heh, I was actually in your shoes a year ago. I went with the DC Sports header. The installation went well and everything worked out great. The only problem was no noicable games becuase of the lame AT.

Challanges

[QUOTE=gmfreed]What kind of challenges? I am willing to sacrafice a little horsepower and quality and ease of installation[/QUOTE

My challanges include the following:
1. The header does not mate well with the cat and on startup leaks untill it is warm.
Will likly buy a new Hi-Flow CAT so this is ok for now:

2. The flex pipe developed a 2 inch crack around one of the rings near the middle. Now this could happen if say you backed into a curb and torked the exaust but this was not the case, it simply failed. I called DC about it several times however they have never called me back. I have since had the flex pipe cut out and replaced for about $80.

Bear in mind that this is a good part and most have not had the problems I have encounted howerver I looked a a CompT hearder at the dealer and it seem to be of much higher quality.
You get what you pay for thou, thus I cannot complain as I paid half the price.

I have not seen alot of independent dynos but if you look at the folliowing links, the DC header produces alot more power:

DC:

CompT:

This is a very easy install, you can do it yourself in about 1hour.

For the price you are going to pay you may as well get the Hondata Reflash as the gains on the CT header are not very impressive for a $600 dollar part.

I am probably doing both. I want to get the header on first then do the hondata reflash.
