CT Supercharger Installed

So the great guys at ATX Motorsports in Bergenfield, NJ just finished up my car and WOW what a difference. This is basically the only mod to get this car to what it should be. It is now like driving a V6 as there is really no drop in power as the gears switch. Vtech is basically on all the time and it is hard to keep the thing under 50 MPH.

I am getting a new camera so I am only posting a few pics for now.
The pic of the dyno chart is immediately after install, as he wanted to check for any air leaks, so the reflash has not even taken full effect yet. It was also 120 degrees in the garage that day so I am sure there will be even more of a gain when I go back in the fall.

As you can see though the SC added about 40 hp right off the bat. The owner said it was comparable to dropping a small block chevy engine into the car.

Also need to give props to Josh at Excelerate for making this all happen. Thanks for all your help.

The shop had to cut the injen intake to make it fit but they did a great job.

Sorry about the smear, will get a new one soon

such low hp numbers I'm shocked but sure it's a night and day differance. How much did it end up costing?

It is what it is ....

If you think it is low come and beat it at the shop.... I know everyone thinks this car is a machine. Its a small 4 banger with vtech..... If vtech did not exist neither would this car
I ask anyone without Kpro to come in and dyno test it at the same shop and see what you can pull.....

With sc and install about 5000... Who cares though I almost spent half that on other mods that didn't do half what this did.. I am telling you.... You can spend your money on the exhaust, cat, headers, intake, reflash.... You are wasting your money just get this..

They call Dyno Dynamics dynos heartbreakers. They typically report 15% lower than dynojets.

His numbers are right on point.

Thanks again Matt. Enjoy the new mod.

what am I missing looking at those HP numbers? is the 148HP the stock dyno number at the wheels? Does the car really lose 50 hp to the wheels? I'm confused I thought it was a base 200 hp engine @ 7000 rpms...

Don't really know too much about it, but I do not think it was much at all.
Here are a few pics of it

They may not add much at first, but once you tune the car for bolt ons, it is a completely different story. Some guy on the other forum got 220 whp with an automatic 04 TSX with bolt ons and K-pro only.

It makes sense why you do not want someone to come and run a dyno with K-pro because they will be very close after spending a lot less money.

Maybe you should have read what I actually wrote which is and I Quote
"I ask anyone without Kpro to come in and dyno test it at the same shop and see what you can pull....."

I know you want to look cool on the boards, but you are just making yourself look dumb.

Can you link the thread from TSX Club where someone hit 220whp on a 04AT with K-Pro + bolt-ons?

Assuming same model years and transmission types, a good NA tune with just bolt-ons (i.e. no internal work) will not be close to a S/Ced setup.

I hit 350whp/267wtq. I have a bunch of custom/one-off components (i.e. aftercooler, 3" single-exit header-back exhaust, etc) but I believe I've reached the limits of what the M62 can handle:

http://www.tsx club.com/forums/1st-g...its-limit.html

(you have to remove the space between "tsx" and "club" for the link to work)

No he prob can't, he just has nothing better to do than go and bash people on the boards (even though there is really nothing to bash here) as an unregistered member. Hey valeratj, what are you riding in anyway and how come you don't register so we can see?

What does that even mean anyway? Why would anyone "put me to shame" for installing a supercharger I really do not understand what you mean by this comment.

Anyway, Kenny aka Tsx536 has kpro and a supercharger and is running 265 to the wheels. That would mean that if you take away the 40-50 hp boost from the sc he would be running at about 215 to the wheels, so it is possible that his statement is correct. I am not really sure if you can figure out hp backwards like that especially with kpro. ???? (someone help me out here)

Even if his statement is true, it means that if K-pro were available for me to get (I don't know why it is currently unavailable) you could add about 40-50 HP to my numbers when all is said and done, which means the car would be pushing close to 270. I am very aware that K-Pro is a significant mod and adds a lot of extra hp after tuning, and even if you can get close to my current numbers with it, I can guarantee you there is no way the car sounds nearly as good with just bolt ons that is for damn sure.
