Since the sway has been brought up, I was wondering if this problem may be fixed.... I installed my sway a month or two ago and now I am starting to hear squeeking in the back whenever I go over bumps. Sort of like triving a 20 year old oldsmobile (no offense). I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or knows how to fix it. thanks !!!

You have to lube the bushings with a good grease. I used a lithium spray and it has been working well.

Don't just spray around the bushings, make sure you unbolt them and really coat the inside of the bushing where the bar and the bushing meet.

Teflon tape between the bushings and the bar. Excellent.

As a side note, 1x per year you should spray the CV boots too. Cold weather and extreme turns helps to make them crack unless you keep them flexible.

FYI @ bushings - I just purchased a Comptech swaybar direct from Comptech in EDH, CA and had them install it for me at the same time. What a great mod !!!!! Here's to bending them sidewalls!
Thumbs Up Anyway, they told me that their bushings are teflon impregnated rubber and are designed to not make any noises and do not require any lube. As to adding lube to other types of bushings, they said that it will attract dirt and debris and could migrate between the bushing & bar. Also as with the tape you will have to sometime in the future remove and replace/relub the whole assembly. They choose a maintenance free approach
P.S. Yes I did see the famous Blue Supercharged test car and no I forgot to bring my camera. I did see a Acura owned TL show car that was going to be the SC testbed car. They also told me that any day noe they were to receive the new Honda Truck for them to test & mod.

I believe the bushings that came with the Comptech swaybar are actually poly bushings instead of rubber bushings as most people originally thought. I compared the Comptech bushings with a set of poly bushings and they have similar hard material. This means be prepare to apply silicone grease if necessary.

On another front - My take on the Mod/Upgrade: I found the results to be a radical improvement in the directional control and predictability. The backend is obediant and follows dutifully inline. In fact I can now really feel and control the lift in the front inside wheel which now allows for better throttle control, feedback, etc. The guys in the shop did tell me that they think the TSX outhandles the RSX and is in fact thier favorite ride to take on long road trips. BTW these folks are really into what they do and are open to feedback and suggestions. Overall a very positive experience...

When I replaced the Comptech bushings with Energy Suspension bushings, the new bushings came with silicone grease and the bushings are also impregnated. If they are poly hard bushings, just lube it and be done with it. Otherwise, be prepare for noise down the road later. The silicone grease does pick up dirt on the outside but it doesn't affect the how the swaybar performs. Some people re-apply the lube on a normal maintenance schedule. Personally, I didn't have to do that to any of my cars. I have always used the Energy Suspension "thick" silicone grease.
