Yeah, Cybernation MS has done wonder for the RSX, and the Gaurdian looks to be very good.

My question is how come the TSX is getting the Comptech SC before the RSX?

my understanding its the same exact design same parts the manifold bolts right up to the tsx manifold so its pretty much the same thing as the rsx just gotta find a reflash for boost for the k24 ,its a waiting game on the reflash or kpro since there is cybernation with a turbo coming out soon, jackson racing coming out soon and comptech soon so its all waiting on a reflash or program such as the guardian but all looks good on all 3 of them just what u prefer more tubro or supercharger ,when they all come out then need a boost thread on here like clubrsx

i read on clubrsx that the rsx manifold had to be altered a tad bit, hence the delay for that car. there's a user on that board that comptech will be testing the supercharger on and he frequently posts updates to the rsx and tsx test cars.

Unfortunately not yet since the blower isn't on the car yet. I'm sure the rsx guys will be asking for dynos though. That thread seems to have died down quite a bit since someone asked "what's hondata".

I heard yesterday from one of your vendors that the RSX is throwing down 240-260WHP from the CT supercharger...

i am curious to see the Dynos and run one of them

I wish that people would stop worrying about torque. Don't even look at that number as it really is meaningless. A HP dyno graph showing HP to the wheels over the RPM range is all you need.

Torque is good for bragging rights, though...

With a roots-type SC you are not going to be low-rpm-torque deficient. Mainly the low end will be beefed up.

A flat torque curve span the broad range of rpm is more useful than simply "peak" torque numbers.

Your car isn't going anywhere without torque. One thing that helps my car is the 300 ftlb of torgue. With that I feel almost no turbo lag at all. I would have to say that the TSX really doesn't have a lot of torque, more toruqe would be helpful.

Obviously, but HP is a function of torque. It's far more useful of a figure to use than torque is.

Edit: Here's a great post on the subject that should help anyone who isn't clear on how torque relates to HP: http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/show...8954#post28954

I just e-mail Scott at Acura of Escondido since he just posted the release of the RSX Supercharger. He also posted prelim dynos.

Base Line RSX:
RSX-S running with:
CompTech Street Header
Ice-Box
Cat-Back Exhaust.
182.1 RW HP @ 7800 RPM.
123 FtLb Torque @ 7800 RPM.

Supercharged RSX:
RSX-S running with:
CompTech Street Header
Ice-Box
Cat-Back Exhaust
Stage-1 Supercharger Kit
227.9 RW HP @ 7800 RPM.
153 FtLb Torque @ 7800 RPM.

Here was his response...

We should see higher numbers with the K24... can't wait to see the result.
I'm definitely getting a supercharger/hondata for my TSX. Imagine what the RSX puts down with Hondata & S/C.
Thanks for the info.

One thing though, rear wheel HP??

Since I'm planning to keep this car for more than 5 years, I guess I'll just envy those that have the S/C installed into their TSX.

The Hondata will be enough for me.

Yeah - are we sure SC = early death and low resale?

I know about 3 years from now if I still have the TSX ... I might be tempted ...well then again I'll take that 5-6K and put it towards the new TSX

The kit should be ready by Christmas if all goes well. Keep checking our website for updates. Thanks,

I have some questions to ask you guys.
1. How much is the S/C including labor?
2. Same HP gain with AT?
3. If I get S/C for my TSX what would be the engine sound like?? Real Loud??
I have an Injen Intake on my TSX, and I think it's pretty loud...but wonder if S/C makes it louder?
Thank you. Can't wait...until December...

1) The kit is similar to the RSX kit so it should sell for around $3600. If the ecu needs to be reprogrammed, your car may be out of commission for 3 days or so. The actual instal time should be around 10-12 hours. I've heard installation prices for JRSC kit on the RSX can range from $350 to $800 so it varies greatly from dealer to dealer. Here's comptech's page to give you some idea of what the TSX kit will look like: http://www.comptechusa.com/store/rsxsc.html

2) No word if it will be compatible with AT cars. If it requires an ECU upgrade, it might not be. The engine would produce the same HP as a 6MT but you'll put less to the ground because of driveline losses.

3) The supercharger will muffle the intake sound you get with a CAI but you'll hear a whining noise when you accelerate hard. There are a few videos of a supercharged RSX here: http://www.badog.com/
