Comptech S/C Tensioner

Word on the street is that Comptech is testing a new belt tensioner design for their supercharger. This is to alleviate some problems people are having with belt slip especially with RSX's with the smaller pullies. On a side note, i've been having some issues with my tensioner as well. The tensioner bracket is locked up and i'm getting a lot of belt slip from time to time. The most alarming thing was when i saw the belt hoping or jumping up while dynoing.

The tensioner bracket and fixed idler plate are designed to allow free movement up and down the slot during the initial belt tensioning process as well as under load when the engine is running. That's why comptech stresses not to overtighten the two bolts on the side of the tensioner because it would potentially crush the bushings and not allow free movement of the tensioner when torqued to spec. In my case, after having the bushings replaced, the tensioner was still locked up.... I was unable to tension the belt while the side bushing bolts were torqued. I had to loosen the bolts which meant a locked up tensioner.

After i sent comptech a few pics of my tensioner bracket and fixed idler plate, they agreed to send me all new parts pertaining to the tensioner area. Ryan from comptech said he just wants to make sure i'm happy...so thumbs up to their customer service . I'm just waiting on the parts to arrive. In any event, I would appreciate if any comptech s/c owners can post close up pics of their tensioner. I am curious to see if the tensioner bracket is perfectly parallel to the pullies, and i would also like to see the clearance between the bottom of the tensioner bracket and the s/c pulley. Thanks in advance.
