Comptech Icebox sound...
SRI is safer from hydrolock. It's located at the same level as your engine head. So to hydrolock a TSX with an SRI, you have to submerge the whole car in 3-4 feet of water. Hydrolocking would be the least of your worries if you did turn your car into a submarine. The hot engine block would crack first.
Power-wise, SRI has the downside of sucking in hot air from the hot engine bay. When that happens, you negate the power gains from SRI. To solve it, make a sealed airbox around the SRI. Or go for the Icebox style intake.

Build what, a SRI? It's not like it's anything special from installing a CAI. The CAI you buy from Injen can be converted into a SRI with all the parts given to you from the CAI.
If you can't do that, you're just being lazy :P

No im talking about making a sealed air box for a short ram intake so its not exposed to the hot air... i really want to get a SRI but from wat ive heard u dont notice anything performance wise just engine noise..is this true and wat can i do to maximize a SRI if i buy one for my tsx?
