Comptech I/H/E

Comptech Intake/Header/Cat-back exhaust parts plus install = $2100. That equates to about $350 for labor after tax. Comments? Would be installed by Acura & would not void warranty at all.

This Comptech build is not worth it IMO even if we're talking strictly about the parts. By tacking on installation, to me the costs become astronomical for the gains you see.

My money's on the sideline until Jackson, Comptech, Cybernation or Greddy release an FI application.

$2100 seem pretty high.

Based upon the most recent group buy for Comptech you can probably negotiate a better deal on the parts.

I have the Intake paired with the Hondata Heatshield and have definitely felt some gains. I haven't dyno'd yet but posted the Comptech dyno for just the Intake.

I think you'd see better gains from other combos. . . but to each his own. Also I don't believe anybody else's products voids the warrranty either, at least not for I/H/Es.

Totally not worth it. You can get the same gains from JUST the Injen CAI (which costs ~$200) and is pretty easy to install yourself if you're mechanically inclined.

Thanks guys for the comment - I will pass on this purchase. Even a gain of 10 HP is hard to feel especially when I don't go above 6000 rpm often.

Yeah, 10hp, no way. I tried different combos, Injen Intake, DC Sports header, and exhaust, there was no notice at all, just a different sound up front and in the rear . The exhaust alone cost 900 bucks with shipping. I wouldn't have the dealer install anything, unless it was the comptech supercharger, that's when your warranty can be voided.
