Compression Ratio of Springs (lb/in)

I did a search of the compression ratio of lowering springs but I couldn't find it, I'm sorry if this has already been covered in the forum before.
I was wondering from all of the different lowering springs that have been installed on our TSX's (Eibach, Neuspeed, TEIN, CompTech, etc.) what are the respective compression ratios or spring rates of these various springs on the basis of pounds per inch. I was also wondering what the stock spring compression ratio is. Any feedback will be helpful, thanks.

I bet most of the mfrs regard the spring rates as somewhat proprietary. Also, for suspension springs, I think the rate varies over the length of the spring (varies with the diameter of the spring coil as well as the gauge or diameter of the wire spring material itself). I haven't looked at springs in a while, but the hallmark of OEM springs back in the day was constant-diameter coils and wire), while the hallmark of aftermarket was variation in both.

great thing about OEM springs is that they are progressive as opposed to standard spring compression for many aftermarket springs. I believe comptech uses a progressive setup.

Actually, most aftermarket springs are progressive. Comptech is the only one I know that ships the springs with the specs attached on a tag.

You're talking about springs used in coilovers. JTso was talking about just aftermarket springs such as Eibach, Comptech, Neuspeed, TEIN S-Tech, etc....

I work for a place that sell both Eibach and Progress Brand Springs

I would Recomend the Progress brand springs for All TSX owners. The Spring is specific for the TSX and not for the Accord like othe manufactures are doing Eibach,H&R and others. If any one Knows progress they really specialize in specific parts for cars and not taking short cuts.

Plus they are coming out with a rear Sway fro the TSX soon.

Here are some links for you

It's really not necessary to post the same info in different threads... If you want to advertise, simply contact the admins and post it in the proper forum.
