Changing HID bulb

so i've been surfing on net for a more blue-ish HID, and bought a JDM 8000K on ebay.

today, i searched and found some threads on chaning HIDs, and went out to my car to give it a try.

i did change Hoen H11 thru under body assembly, and am planning to change them again to Heliolite 80W 5000K fog bulbs when i receive them later this week.

For the chaning HIS bulbs,

the screws of HID cover is way too low, and i do not have enough tools to work with...

some members mentioned disconnecting battery before chaning it.... and so on

i am getting my first service 3,000 mile check at local dealer, and obviosuly they say they don't change aftermarket bulbs ... ^^ ;

i feel like i should go to a car shop for the bulb change...

it seems that i WILL have to go to a shop for chaning the bulb, so
where do you guys recommand? Autozone?... - - i dunno i'm not familiar with this issue...

how much should i expect for installation fee?

BTW, i am in Ann Arbor, Michigan area.

Thanks in advance,

Jae

First off, you are going to kick yourself for changing the bulbs. Agreed that the blue bulbs have the looks to amaze but thats about it. You wont be able to see jack at night specially when its raining due to the color of the light. There is a reason why the manufacturers choose 4300K tempreture bulbs to be put in the headlights, because they give the best visibility to light output ratio. Your currnet bulbs are producing close to 3100 Lumens where as the aftermarket ones would be producing around 2000, you might as well toss out your HIDs and put halogen bulbs in there. To each their own but trust me putting high temp bulbs in your headlights is not only waste of money but dangerous as well due to their ill output intensity. I say sell them and keep your stockers in there.

Here is a little comparison video, to show what the blue bulbs look like compared to the stock 4300K ones. Blue ones are the ones on the right and the left one from the stocker.
