carbon fiber anyone? oh and PHASE bumper?????
I just hooked up with a company that is the manufacturer for carbon fiber. They make all the CF parts for Stillen's 350z and G35, also alot of the stuff on CFtype.com is theirs just sold by CFtype. They company website is still in developement since they have just been the in manufacturing part of the business and now are looking to sell for themselves. Basically cutting out the middle man. But they want me to ask who would be interested in CF parts. They will be using my TSX as a mold for the parts. Also they do fiberglass and if there is enough people interested they will make a mold from my PHASE bumper and start making those bumpers in either fiberglass or carbon fiber. Its you the buyer that makes that choice.
All thier CF is hand laid and a they use a gel instead of a clear coat. Its stronger. They also use kevlar. So let me know what you want CF and if 10 people are interested in the same piece they will make it. The first orders will take the longest. Making a mold and test fitting it on my car to perfect the mold but after that once its done should be alot faster. So check out those websites and that is all thier CF work. Also thier own website is
www.shop.retro-spec.net its still underconstruction.

well before they even decide to make it they would like to have 10 people looking to purchase. Bumpers will be going for between 600-700 I believe. Brand new the Phase bumpers were 1500....and they are out of business and you cant get them anymore so at that price its a steal. Thats if we get enough people for them to even decide to make it.

I'd be interested in both: either a CF lip (for 06) or a PHASE replica (preferably in fiberglass or polyurethane, as a CF one would be pretty pricey!!!!!!)

ahh ok cool. Well they are gonna be making a copy of it reguardless. And for all those worried about prices on CF....we will be getting the CF bumper for like I said about half the cost of the normal fiberglass bumper. So its all on you how much you wanna spend and what look you will want.

I bet there will be interest in a non-CF replica of the phase bumper, something like fiber or poly that can be painted to match the car. Those would be a tempting price for anyone, and if they can't sell their stock here (which they probably can) there's always eBay.
I always love to see more parts for the TSX. Just make sure to PM Astroboy to understand the rules around being a forum vendor.

yes they could paint it. The CF version would be more for show than anything. But I know a guy with a whole CF kit on his IS 300 and its looks pretty hard. Its all personal preferance. They will be making both CF and fiberglass.
*update*
I just found out that the Phase bumper is now around $1000. I will still be able to get it for a few hundred less. Maybe more. When I meet with the manufacturer again I will get more on the pricing details.

^ for that price, you can pay a few hundred more and get the Spoon bumper. If it was around 600-700 *shipped*, it might be more popular...
The Phase CF hood is one that I always try to hunt down, but missed my luck. I am not sure of their products though, I trust JDM companies because they all use handlaid 1x1 CF weave. If you can have a close up sample of a CF item they made posted, I think you will gain more interest.

The CF is hand laid. Have you ever seen the stillen g35 CF? NOT the hood. The stuff inside the engine bay. This company doesnt do hoods. ITs very nice the guy was just as my house saturday night showing me pieces. I will get a pix of some of there products up close and show you. And as far as the price...I was talkin 600-700 for the CF...not the fiberglass. That is just an estimation might be better though.

$6-7 large for a full CF replica bumper is a heck of a steal.
Could be interested.
Ask them if they are planning on a 2x2 twill or a 1x1 - the former is by far the better looking of the two.

like i said the cost is an estimate. I havent spoken about final price BUT it will all depend on how many are interested. I'm sure we will get a CF version CHEAPER than the standard fiberglass and the fiberglass version will be cheaper yet.

They make all the CF on these sites check it out. The CF is compareable to JDM aftermarket so ie your Spoon, mugen and whatever else you can find out there. All coming at lower cost to us since its made here in North America.

I want to see some close-up pics of the weave. And a CF manifold cover would be an interest of mine as well.

OH HELL YEA!!!! You have got to tell them to manufacture more CF parts than that, say a CF front lip (even if its the stock mold), interior parts, engine parts...I think they would sell a whole lot being that no other manufacture has begun to touch upon the TSX.

Like i have said before they need 10 buyers that want the same thing to even consider making a mold. All the molds will be made from my 04 TSX. So get your people together and whatever interior parts you want they will want a deposit and they will mold it all while the bumper is being made. A CF lip is also in talk along with an entire CF lip kit. But as of right now the only thing thats pretty much for sure is the phase style bumper made in fiberglass and CF will be on a special order basis. So guys please talk amongst yourselves and find out what CF parts for the interior you want. Get 10 people and pretty sure I can get the company to make them.

Do you think they could make a mold of the roof and cut out the holes for the sunroof and xm antenna to make a CF roof. I want to paint my roof but why not
cover it with CF.
cover it with CF.
