CAI vs Short Ram

So I was thinking about getting a CAI for my TSX but my friend keeps telling me I should get a short ram instead because we live out in the midwest. He says when it rains, it's bad for the CAI. Is this true?

If so, what can I do to get a CAI and be able to drive it in all four seasons and weather. I live in Indiana. Thanks.

Just switch between short ram mode and CAI mode with the rainy and dry seasons.

Short ram sucks if it doesn't have a heat sheild of sorts. Get the CAI. Look on the K&N website, they have a CAI that has a bad covering the filter to prevent water damage to the motor. There are other companies that make these "bags" to put over your CAI filter.

There are many existing threads on CAI and SRI comparision. A search will have many results. When in doubt, just get a CAI that can be converted to SRI. There will be instructions on how to do the conversion inside the box.
