Billet Aluminum Pedals

Sometime ago, there were several of you interested in obtaining billlet aluminum pedals for the TSX.

Most of the aftermarket pedals (ouside of the Mugen or JDM factory pedals) do not work with the TSX because of the accelerator pedal's flat surface.

I found a custom manufacturer of billet aluminum pedals who claim they can make a set for the TSX.

There website is ultimatepedals.com. The quality of the pedals appear to be top notch but my opinion is just from the pics that I have seen on the web page and what their sales department has sent me.

The price for all 4 pedals woud be around $173 for anti slip surface and about $138 for smooth pedals (except for brake/clutch). (these prices are approximate).

I am currently checking with Ultimate Pedals to see if they honor a group buy discount.

Would be curious to see how many would be interested.

Sorry for the late reply...

All:

Sorry for the late reply. I came down with the flu and am still not 100%.

I did get an email from Ultimate Pedals and they sent me some pics... Problem is I am not sure how to post them here.

Keep in mind the pics I have are not for the TSX so I know its going to be hard to judge whether one would like the look of them or not. They do offer a no questions asked money back guarantee if not satisfied with fit and finish...

They also informed me that if we do a group buy of $600 or more, there is a 20% break in price.

To see some samples of their quality, you can check out their website at www.ultimatepedals.com

I realize that we don't have pics of the exact pedals however I have asked them again to see if they can have one made up before we consider purchasing... Who knows I may just cave in and be the guinea pig for the rest of you guys... I'm considering the basic set which includes smooth dead and accelerator pedal with anti-slip surface brake and clutch pedals for about $138. Not bad considering everything else out there cost more...

As for titanium (someone mentioned above), I am not sure... They seem to specialize in billet aluminum.

Regarding group buy

Maxboost:

We haven't even begun yet...

I'm trying to obtain the actual photos of the TSX pedals. Received an email today from Ultimate Pedals and they are hoping to have them by the end of the week. I will figure out how to get the photos up on imagestation (as someone mentioned above).

Perhaps if anyone else is really interested, you can also email Ultimate Pedals to express your interest as well.

Their website is www.ultimatepedals.com

Will continue to facilitate this Group Buy the best I can. Been really busy with work lately (I was out sick last week and have lots of cathing up to do)

Wow, isn't that really expensive? I got drilled aluminum pedals for the G35 (4 pedals) and they were only $80!! They do look awesome though, it just seems steep for the pedals, though they are billet......

Finally received the pics

Can someone host the pics for the pedals, or should I just use some free photo service?

Well, they are from the Nissan Dealer. They have aluminum pedals in the 350z that fit on the G35. I doubt they would fit on the TSX though. Sorry for getting your hopes up...

Ultimate Pedals

Binabink:

Thanks again for posting the pics.

OK - here goes:

There should be pics for both 6MT and AUTO trans setup.

Once again, on pricing, the basic pedal kit (which includes the gas, and anti-slip brake/clutch pedals) is $99.

The Flat foot rest is $39 for smooth surface, $59 for anti-slip surface.

If you want the gas pedal in anti-slip, to match the basic pedal kits (brake/clutch), its an additional $15.

Ultimate pedals is offering a 20% discount for orders greater than $600.

I'm going to assume at this time there is an additional shipping fee. Have an email in to them re: this. Need to know how that will work in terms of providing them a group buy order and how that will work.

Stay tuned.

Still interested?

All just checking to see if we are still interested in a possible group buy on these pedals.

Last time I checked we had about 11 or so interested so based on a minimum $600 order at approximately $100 for the basic set, I think we are covered.

Of course there is the applicable shipping charges for each order and that amount I'm sure will vary depending on where they are being shipped to.

So, if we can get a poll again for those who are seriously considering purchasing these pedals that would be great.

Bad News

OK, got the final word on how we could do the Group Buy and unfortunately, Ultimate Pedals cannot process individual orders as a "group buy". It would have to be a single order and we would have to work out the shpping/handling to each member.

That's a show stopper for me as I cannot faciliate that...

If anyone else would like to, it would be appreciated but its a lot of work.

Any ideas?

If you want, I could do it through Paypal and my FedEx Ground Account. The only costly thing would be the boxes involved. For within the U.S., figure $7-$8 per shipment?

That works for me too

The only concern I have is, what if one doesn't like the pedals and wants to return them? The return would be such a hassle as oppose to going direct with Ultimate Pedals...

Not sure how that would work on a group buy either... Lung are you up for that?

I'm a bit disappointed that we weren't able to buy directly from UP with the group discount... but at the same time I do understand the cost involve in processing each order separately...

So if we don't see any issues in terms of possible returns or hassles like that, and if Lung is still up for doing the handling of this, I guess it would be ok...

What would be the cost difference if each person bought direct from ultimate pedals or if Lung proceesed each order?
I live near binabink, could our pedals be shipped together to one of us and then meet up to swap??

is there any chance we could get a pic of them actuall yinstalled in a TSX? i might be interested, but i'm sort of on the edge about whether i want the euro ones or these custom ones.

personally i like the look of the smooth pedals better, but i worry about grip if my shoes are wet or something...

price for anti-slip pedals with gas, brake/clutch, foot rest = $173; with discount = $139;

of course, prices don't include shipping. this with the info posted earlier. could have changed....

and yeah, i agree. the pedals could be shipped to one place to minimize shipping costs.

Anyone have these installed? Do you have anti slip one or smooth ones? how is the grip on these things?

Anyone with pics of them installed, could you please post. I am trying to see if I like these or the JDM ones.

has the GB died?

does this place have the pedals available for direct purchase right now? maybe someone needs to be the guinea pig and buy a set and install them.

i'm still up in the air about these custom ones. i'm thinking they will look better than the JDM. i just wonder about fit/install. JDM's are more or less a direct replacement, these custom ones are just screwed to the existing pedals.

acutally, i think they install the same. you'll have to go and drill some holes in the pedals....at least from what i can tell from the pics of the jdm ones.

yeah, i believe on the brake and/or clutch you have to drill and i think they mentioned rivets on the other board. the gas pedal is a total swap out though from teh looks of it. difference being with teh custom ones we have to drill the gas pedal. maybe not a huge problem.

i think if i could see pic's of them installed i could decide right away. i also like the look of the smooth ones, but i fear they'd get slippery quick.
