Best header and cat for '05 AT?
So CT is a no-go for AT, how about DC Sports? or TopSpeed? which one's better?
The so-call v2 of DC Sports are stronger and has no hissing sound right?
As for highflow cat... which one shall I get? I'd prefer something less restrictive than stock but won't throw CEL easily.
What are the 'hrs' quoted on both of these mod?
Thanks!

why are you ruling out the CT? i just put a CT header on 2 weeks ago (well i didnt put it on i took it to my acura dealership and they did) and i've had not one single problem. they also put a RT cat on. so far it's been smooth sailing.

Is yours AT or MT? did they do the anti-rattle mod?

mine is AT...i'm not sure what the anti rattle mod is..i was reading up on the CT header on these forums before i ordered it so i knew there was a chance of a rattle but i went with it anyways b/c i already had a CT cat-back on my car and that was working out well so i just wanted to stay with the same brand...when i talked to the mechs who put it on, they said everything was fine and connected well and no problems and so far i havent heard anything..only thing you might need if you change out your cat for a RT cat would be to get napa gasket #31369 to help fill the space between ur cat and the tail pipe..i bought 2 after reading moda_way's DIY write up and i saw that the acura mechs used one of the gaskets since there was only 1 left in the box when i picked my car up...i guess the acura mech who worked on my car also races drag cars in his spare time so he obviously knew what he was doing..and the labor charge wasnt that bad only $190 ($85/ hr)..ill pay that anyday to have peace of mind knowing i wont be getting any annoying rattles

CT ftw... I tried the Topspeed for awhile before the flexpipe fell apart. I replaced it w/ a CT header and agree that the quality is waaaaayyy better. Only problem I have is my CT rattles against my Cusco Type II bar. If you are truly looking for "the best" header get on a waiting list for a JDM header or Hytech.

in response to the hytech comment above, the hytech header isn't designed to work with any other exhaust than the hytech exhaust. you need to modify the B-pipe of an exhaust to make it fit. If ya get the hytech header, you should probably get the high flow cat they sell as well, or better yet, get the whole system. its great, trust me.

You mean the O2 sensor actual fits the Mugen header without the wire extension, and you didn't have to modify the lower subframe to clear the header? Because those are the areas that require attention during the installation.

^ banging for about 5-10mins!!! Any JDM header will need to do that!! Maybe not the FEELS CL9 version I don't think.
Otherwise, the DC sport is best bang for the buck I think. Easy to install compared to DC which is a 1 piece

The CT header is a great option. It is a well-built stainless steel header that consistently performs. We also recently brought a new converter to the market. It is essentially a Random Technology cat with 2.25" IN/OUT which is a great setup for the naturally aspirated TSX members. It is larger than the original RT cat but with the same 300 cell metallic substrate.
