I'm confused as to why you thing and engine taking in more dense are is a bad thing? That's why intakes make more power. Let's not forget your stock intake while more restrictive is a cold air set-up.

The colder the air the better...

 

The stock air intake for a 2004-08 TSX is a hot air intake.
If you jack up your car and have a look at the intake resonator, the actual air intake is the vertical pipe in front of the battery.

That's why it's recommended to convert the stock intake system to a cold air intake and toss the useless stock intake resonator in the garbage can.

 

34 degree fahrenheit? that's not winter. here it's -20 degree celcius, and i still got my sri on, i took off my cold air cause i'm scared that the snow with get in and around.

but the colder the better
