Okay, since i dont have any patience.. im stuck with the Automatic Tranny.. i coulda waited for the stick shift.. but it was gunna take to long.. so i just baught the AT..
BUT, now that i have it. I need to find out techniques on getting this AT to move.. is there any specific way to use the shifter when racing off the line.. i heard you shouldnt push the accelerater all the way down.. prolly half way, and then kickin it till you have to shift....
Does anyone with the AT have any other technique they use when they push tha car to the limit... jus need some advice for a drag race type situation...

Otherwise, I don't see why giving it half gas would make it go faster. Maybe it reduces initial wheel spin, but the TSX doesn't suffer from wheel spin, but from wheel hop (needs better tires and almost more weight over the front wheels for a good drag).
If you want an everyday start, just mash the pedal. You can torque-brake at medium rpms too, but this will most likely produce wheel hop.

I don't see what pushing the throttle half way down would do. From a dead stop I don't imagine an AT would get enough torque to spin the wheels.
Tires is defiantely a good suggestion for getting a good launch.
Go out on an EMPTY road and try launching from a stop and see what works best. And how are you going to street race and get to 5th gear? You'll be going way over 100MPH considering you can hit 60MPG in 2nd.

I love the auto. They say it is about 1sec slower than
6 spd. I never had any cause to get to 60 that quick, never
mattered to me off the line. The 1 to 2 shift is a little tricky,
too early and the RPM's drop too much.
But I do like what this car does at and around 60. It's a top
end car. The TSX is not an off the line car so without the
ability to dump a clutch I wouldn't even try.
I do notice it doesn't help to floor it off the line, may even
hurt. The drive
by wire conditions your foot signal anyway.
