so, I found a 'Genuine/TRUE Honda JDM USED Folding Side Mirrors RELAY box'. Basically, for those who dont know, these are used on the Euro R's to fold the mirrors automatically everytime the car is turned off. I was wondering if this would work with our mirrors? since there is no power actually going to the mirrors..is it possible? anyone done it?

 

i through we do get power to our side mirrors b/c of the heated mirrors or im just completely wrong?

 

my guess, and this is just a guess, is that it won't work.

as far as i know, there's no motor/gearing in our USDM mirrors that could be controlled by just a relay box. there would need to be a folding-action motor to control the automatic in and out.

but maybe a full euro-r mirror retrofit would work?

They're power folding and the mirror has a tint of blue to them as well. For Inspire, should work on TSX.

 

I think you'd have to replace the complete mirror assembly. We don't have motors sitting dormant in our mirrors. If you can buy those mirrors somewhere, I'd do it in a quick second as well.

 

Nice but, holy crap, $779. There is so much I would do before I even begin to address folding mirrors at that price.

 

your could replace the mirrors, but just know that Euro mirrors are made for right side drivers so the mirrors themselves wouldnt reflect the same for someone driving on the left side like we do in the US and Italy.
