ARG, need help with CompTech rear sway install

I might do a full writeup later, but I am having a really tough time installing my CompTech rear sway bar. It was a PITA to remove the stock one until I read about using alan wrenches.
Got it off and put the CompTech one in, attached the ends to both sides of the suspension but I cannot get the bushing/clamps attached to the car for the life of me.
This is a pic of the stock clamps attached:
When I put the CompTech ones in I cannot get them to lineup with the holes. Very frustrating, I tried working, jiggling, moving the bushings for 1.5 hrs until it got dark with no luck.
The bar starts to bend right where the holes are at and the bushings end up being angled. I can get 3 bolts in, but the 4th is so off that it can't be put in the hole. I wasn't expecting this annoyance, anyone has some insight into what I'm doing wrong?

hmm maybe you got defective ones? i just went under and took me about 15 minutes to get it off and the new one on. The fitment was perfect and i didnt have any trouble.
did you jack up the car?
did you jack up the car?
The only thing I can think of is the bar could be mounted up side down. Otherwise, it's very easy to install. I had to jack up the car with both wheels off the ground so the endlinks are mounted evenly.
I thought possibly i put the bar in upside, but already had the endlinks attached so tried to get the bushings attached. I had the car jacked up and the wheels off. off to try again.
ok, got it finally after me and my roommate were forceful w/ it. That to get 3 of the screws in and then use a screw driver to keep pushing the clamp till it lined up over hole. One person pulled on the bar while the other held the clamp against the car and screw the final screw in.
I'm thinking the bend in something wasn't perfect, that was very difficult to install w/ 1 person, but was probably only 2 mm off.
And definately do not install the bar backwards, it only goes 1 way. I had it correct originally but decided to flip it. Bad idea, I got it on but after realizing how wrong it was it took me 25 min. to get it off. Its definately not meant to fit under there the wrong way.

I'm loving it, the back definately rotates better. Even on a turn at 25mph I can feel the backend, it was a little surprising to oversteer after only driving FWD cars. I took it on a mountain road here for a quick run and it definately reduces/eliminates understeer. Cornerning is a lot better now. I'm adding the front tie bar monday, I'll see how they do together.

i had similar problems with my rear sway. just had to fuss with it for a while until all 4 screws lined up.
i can confirm that rear bar definitely makes improvement in overall handling. car corners much flatter, turn-in is quicker, less understeer in corners. now i need new tires, cause you can really feel how shitty stock tires are.
