another Nokya Hyper Yellow fog light question?

I finally decided to get a nokya hyper yellow over xenonmatch. I want to ask some questions about nokya hyper yellow before I purchase it. Did you had any problem with it? is it still going? is there warrarenty on this thing? My brother had a hyper white and always had a problem with the bulb. It didn't last no more than 3 month. I want to make sure that this doesn't happen to me.
thanks,

I've used these bulbs before and never had a problem with them, other than rocks smashing the lenses of my fog lights and blowing them out.

Sounds like he touched the bulb glass when installing it, that'll kill any bulb quick

acutally he didn't touch the bulb. He knows that once oil gets on the bulb, it will kill the bulb.

i've had mine on for up to 5 hours straight without any problem (twice in 3 days once). There is a thread i started a few months back with a link to a store where you can get them for 24-26 buckaroos with warranty.

yes, i am lazy.

yeah the look is awesome. they look even brighter if you aim them straight up in the air. (hint).

Why the hell would you aim the fogs higher? Not only does it defeat the purpose of fog lights, but it is dangerous and probably illegal.

Don't be THAT guy.

Not trying to be an ass. Just make sure that the line the fog lamps produce falls lower than the cutoff produced by the HID projectors on a wall when you align them. The purpose of fog lamps is to illuminate the area below the "barrier layer" that headlights produce in heavy fog, when a lot of their light gets reflected back in your face. Mostly, they're to prevent you from hitting things like curbs and rocks and such.

Note: I hate hate hate it when somebody's poorly-aligned fogs project so high as to act as de facto high beams. Please don't do that.

Also, I've had the Nokyas in for a year with no problems, and the yellow output reduces glare substantially in austere weather (that is the reasoning behind yellow/amber fog lights - lower color temperatures produce inherently less glare when observed with the human eye).

they are more yellow if you are standing in front of the car looking directly at it, however, the yellow dissepates (sp?) as you go higher and the beam pattern weakens. I tried stock, then high, then ended up lowering the beam so that the cutoff meets the HID cutoff at about 45-50 yards, with a slight angle of the fogs going up.

Aim 'em lower or you'll just be defeating the purpose of having fogs. They'll still look good regardless of how you have 'em aimed.

If you aim 'em too high, you're just going to blind people in front of you. Regardless of how you have them aimed, you're still going to get the same "look". I keep my fogs on all the time, but my point was that you might as well be safe about it.

mine are not aimed up - don't get me wrong - i just think it's funny that some people give the impression that everyone only uses fogs when it's actually foggy and talk about defeating the purpose. For most people, the purpose is to look good.

Yeah, I'll be the first to admit that I got them because of the look over function. I did my retrofit for function over looks.
