After Market Turbo Charger Possible?

I was wondering if there was the possibility of an aftermarket turbocharger to be added. It would really boost the low end torque.

Is TSX engine bay same or very similar to RSX?
RSX is Integra.
Integra has bolt on turbos.
I’m pretty sure bolt on turbos will come out for RSX.
And I’m thinking bolt on turbos for RSX fit on TSX as well.

tsx bay has waaaaay more room in it. No doubt a turbo kit will fit without issue.

I thought custom turbos are cheaper than bolt on turbos.

That much? Mmm... my friend keeps telling me how a turbo for his 01 Sentra would only cost around 1000 dollars... Dunno if he was referring to a bolt on or custom, but maybe he's got connections somewhere... 10k, heh, I think I'll pass...

If you customize the stock header to turbo header, then you don't need to get turbo header. If you get used turbo, then that will be a lot cheaper. If you install everything on your own (no labor), then that saves a lot too. I think $1,000 for a turbo still is possible. But you should be looking at $2,500 for professionally installed brand new small turbo.

So who's going to get the $10K turbo? He can be special and be the first person who has spent over $10k on their TSX.

I'd think you would need to drop the compression ratio some. The "low-pressure" turbocharged engines currently on the market (e.g. 180hp and less 1.8T for example) are often 9.5 or 9.3:1. The high output engines (200 hp+) are running less than 9.0:1...

They have kits for the rsx-s which uses an absurd 11:1 ratio...I bet they can make one for the tsx with it's stock 10.5. But you are absolutely right, fuel and boost settings need to be modified with that CR in mind to keep from getting detonation. It's definitely safer to jam more boost into a motor with a lower CR.
