Acura Dealerships and Mods
Just came from Herb Connolly Acura of Framingham and found out somemore info related to their Mod policy. Apparently they are more than happy to install parts from any aftermarket manufacturer and almost encourage it. They even went as far as to say that if their were any problems with the part they would deal with the manufacturer. They gave me a steep price of $190 to remove the ecu/immobolizer and then install it again. To me though it is almost worth it just to know there is a better chance that this mod wont come back to bite me in the ass with warranty related issues.

Wait a minute?
So they're willing to install something for you if your brought it in? So if you purchased an aftermarket catback (not Comptech), then they'll install it for you and have some kind of warranty? Or would they have to purchase the product themselves?
I just asked them to install the moleskin to the inside weatherstrip and they wouldn't do it because if the moleskin came off and focked up the automatic door sensor bullshit then it would be a bigger issue. I was like damn woman, its just a strip and that shit won't happen so just do this for me since I'm referring people to you guys and purchased a car off you guys too. They still wouldn't do shit for me.

Call Tony Ferreira at 508-879-0300
he is the parts guy at Herb Connolly
when i talked to him about Hondata he said i should buy it myself cuz i'd get the same price and then have them install it. i might still do it myself, but when i get comptech headers/exhaust i will definately go to them for that.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask the guy.

well for something like that moleskin maybe they just dont want to mess with that. in that case you'll have to find somewhere else. i think they are only going to install things that they are comfortable with doing, that they know won't screw up your car.

Question about this. Do they have to purchase the aftermarket product? Or can you just bring it in and they'll install it? And I'm really doubting that the service desk people would allow me to bring it in to get it installed. Maybe I'll just give them a call and see what they say.
