Is 4 cyclinder small engine and not enough power?

Hey guy, I talked to my friend that I am considering about getting TSX someday and he asked me what engine does TSX has. I told him that TSX has 4 cyclinder with 200 hp, he said that 4 cyclinder is small engine. It is better to get V6 instead of 4 cyclinder. I kind of disappointment a little bit. I have 1994 accord with 4 cyclinder with 145 hp with upgrade engine alike AEM CAI, DC SPORTS header, and GREDDY exhaust. It went pretty fast. I hate to see big truck or suv with V8 has a lot of powerful than cars. I want your opinion. Thanks, George

Honda makes one of the best 4-cyl engines out there. Take the S2000 for instance. It will handle numerous V-6's on the road. Add a few mods and then you're looking at a V-8 killer...granted that is with the S2000. Never doubt the power of a 4-cyl.

Many car enthusiast would agree that Honda makes the best 4 clyinder engines in the world. Its actually their specialty.

They are best in terms of maxium power output, range of power (power curve), tourqe, and reliablity when compared to their competitors. Their V6s are competitive but still a few ways behind Nissans and BMW's I6's.

BTW Honda has had their 4 clyinder engines rated on Wards top ten engines of the world for quite a long time! This year, the RSX-S and Accord V6's were among the top ten.

engine size has nothing to do with anything anymore. back in the day a 4 cylinder was underpowered and weak down low. All about the horses and torque. Nowadays 4 cylinders are making as much if not more power than most V6's were just 5-6 years ago.

Ask your friend if his v6 is faster than an sti four cylinder?

HONDA makes the best 4 cyl because they are the biggest engine maker, i would also think they makes the best 6 cyl as well. definitely 8 or 10 if they wanted to but it does not fit their idea or soul.
i would say TSX is a little/maybe "over-weight", otherwise it will fly. i remembered my in-laws was scratching his head (and little not please with my choice, a father always want the best for his daughter, isn't it !! ) when he knew i woul get car call TSX and it's only has 4 Cyl w/o turbo, he does not understand why i would choose a 4 cyl over 6 (accord, maxima, g35, camry) he just donesn't buy the idea i was trying to explain. but after he 2nd ride in the car he changes his mind. he was impress with the power of this car/combo and i was not even trying. my own father doubt TSX is really a 4 cyl car, and i told him, yes, there is only 4 cyl under hood, and this thing has NO TURBO, he is like
test drive, and, you will understand!! but make sure the test driv car has min1000km on it. oh, mine is 5AT.
