The new 2009 Acura TSX has a thermoplastic intake manifold...which doesn't conduct heat like our aluminum IM. That being said, I wonder if anyone knows if it will bolt up to our 2004-8 TSX's, especially the 2004-2005, which has the most to gain because we have the smallest TB stock...so we would get the thermal enhancements (cooler intake air temp) as well as a larger TB.
Anyone have an idea? I would think it would just bolt on. Hmmmmm

 

I don't think it will fit according to the parts layout. Besides, you can easily reduce the heat transfer on the intake manifold with a thermal gasket. It's the injector base that gets most of the heat transfer from the cylinder head. A thermal injector base gasket will help initially but there's also the coolant port that's part of the injector base. Once the coolant temp is hot, there's not much the gasket can do to block the heat transfer.
