Late for work? Forget work, put em on! haha

Btw, so do they really have that "bluish" hue on the side markers?

the JDM lights are gunna kinda suck because the shield is fliped for a RHD car.. the only way, is the bake the headlights, and prolly your old USDM ones for the parts, and swap out the cutoff sheilds..

USDM... ______
______/

JDM ______
(traffic ) \_____

the actual backing the the projector can stay, but unfortanatly the glass has to be removed off the assembly. sucks since its a brand new headlight..

but i can DEFFENETLY say my headlights now.. you can tell they have a rise on the right for the right sholder lane.

I'm considering swapping drivers side only projectors. rex, what's your plan, leave it alone? I really haven't made up my mind yet.

you'd risk condensation in your $500 headlights to adjust the cutoff

In that case, something is wrong with your lights. I'm serious. The slightly higher pattern on the right side is by design to not blind oncoming traffic. The angle might not be as high as described above but it does have an angle.

if you pull up to your garage at night, and show the beam on the door.. its deffenetly noticable.

and ive done a few retrofits of high end projectors and HID's in integra headlights, and still have had no problems with condensation. i wouldn't worry about it.. all headlights arn't even sealed.. they usually have vent tubes on the back.. i know condensation comes in from not making a seal from where the glass or lens mates to the backing.. but honda puts alot of glue on those bad boys.. my 1st retro, on my own car.. i took them apart back and forth 4 times to get it right. 4 seperate heat treatments to release the glue.

i know its JDM.. but respect the US drivers around you.

yea most likely it's going to have an inverse beam pattern to what we have now, but after i install it i will see if there is an annoying glare of light for all oncomers...

For those with JDM headlights, why not just adj the right with the lowest setting( or lower setting) and left with a higher setting?

yeah...i always thought there was a little screw you can turn to adjust your headlight projection...mostly used for when you replace headlights and they proper beam pattern needs to be set...im not sure if that is on our cars though

It changes the angle, but not the projection pattern. That would cause you to have less light in the middle of the road where you need it most.

if you can't see the rised right side.. you need some glasses. even though its only a 1" on my garage.. imagine the beam at 3-400 feet.

i re-adjusted my headlights, i used to get flashed all the time.. now i aim for about the front bumper of oncomming traffic, and i still light up road signs on the right pretty well.

Not here yet, and no billing from BPT so I'll assume they're still on a boat somewhere.
Its 'only' been 4 weeks so I'm hoping to hear about them in the next 2 weeks.

And you're still welcome to come test fit one of mine. You can have my (intact) drivers side usdm one to test for all i care.

Also, can anyone confirm that the headlights would have to be baked to swap the reflector shields? I haven't done one of these before (acuras), but I had a kit on my benz where the projector shield was on the backing. ie: could have been done without baking theoretically.

Since changing these headlights is so involved (bumper removal) I only want to do this once, and just want any info I can get. I've decided that I'm not going to bake them, but if the swap can be made without baking, I'll go for it.

i'll take a wild guess... im going to asume you will have to bake these to get to the projector shield..

only reasonable evidence is the fact that ive seen a 05 driver bake his headlight to take the orange reflector out.. thus meaning the headlight wont seperate by screws and gaskets.

i hate to be double standard and shit.. and i realize the car isnt' even a year old, and these are brand new headlights.. but baking doens't nessisarily ruin the headlights.

if you bake them right, and esspecially get them hot when you assemble them, they'll be fine. like i said before, i think i baked my DC2 integra headlights 4 times on the same OEM glue cuz i didn't like how it looked. (kept modifing it)

Which reminds me... 5 weeks and waiting. Good thing I've been busy as sh** with the new house, cause I feel like I haven't touched my car in weeks!

Comptech-814: Contact boomplustoys. Its slow, but its the way to get the authentic ones. I haven't seen any 2006 jdm headlights on eBay for England or Australia, which would make the most sense to get it from.

So the 2006 JDM's have a clear turn signal diffuser as well?
The closest I can get to the clear signals are removing them.

got the look.. now to do some performance upgrades

-Also.. with the release of the RDX on its way.. there is no doubt that there will be some retrofitting of that stock turbo on our motor.. do you think HONDATA will make a reflash to accomodate it? thats my only hold off on the 06AT reflash
