2006 jdm headlights... ordered!

Insurance owes me a new headlight and I got them to pay me instead of the bodyshop. So, I have to pay for the bumper (re: my crash 2 weeks ago), but at least it will be done the way I want it to: New bumper + seperate paint job, no new paint on my precioussss......

Gave a quick call to Boomplustoys to make sure they could get them. They said 4-6 weeks, so here's to hopin' I've got some pics to toss in this thread by the end of July! Lemons can make Lemonade, if you've got enough sugar ($$$)

arent the headlights in Japan aimed differently? Aren't they going to be shining directly in to oncoming traffic?

is there anything different on the JDM headlight other than the clear side signals?

Which requires unsealing them, personally I wouldn't do that on mine, who wants to fog up $500 headlights

Colts, you're welcome to come try if you don't mind coming down to MD again. I can give you 95% odds they won't fit, but again, you're welcome to try. And you've got experience doing this I presume which could help me.

IF they can be swapped without opening the housing I plan on doing it. I was actually thinking of swapping only the driver's side if possible, so theoretically they are both shining the most light toward the center.

Yeah, unfortunatly I've decided against it. I was kinda looking forward to something that unique, but I just don't care for the design! In addition, my car is not lowered / no kit, and I have no plans to do so, so that low of a bumper would look silly sticking out the front of my car. I found a shop capable of the 3 stage paint process who agreed to order me a whole new oem bumper to paint instead of fixing my current one. Sadly all in all of this I'm only going to get like $200 from insurance, but at least I'll have my car back, and better than before.

For 2006, aside from clear/(blue?) side diffusers, the actual turn signal (between hi-beam and hid), is clear/blue coloured. Maybe it's just me, but the 2006 headlight's cleared areas seem more blue than the 2004/2005.

I was thinking the same thing, at least what I thought was the 06 JDM headlights.

Can someone post a picture of them on this thread

I don't think you need to unseal them. I bought a set of headlights without the projectors and the seal is intact. The projector assembly looks to be one unit screwed on to the housing.

getting the projector out of the hole in the back is the problem, I pulled the projector from a damaged headlight I had and there was no way I could move it to get it out of the hole, its just ever so slightly too big. I ended up dremeling the back wider to get it out

Yes, this is what I'm worried about. I plan on practicing on my busted headlight, since I'll need to extract the projector from it to sell it anyway. But I can't do this till I get the jdm ones, so it'll have to wait.

I would think they would fit the 05's since the front lenses didnt change on the 06's.

You see a lot of Hondas nowadays from Civics, Integras to Accords who retrofit the TSX headlight.

No one sells them in the US unfortunatly, they have to be ordered from Japan. Boom Plus Toys ordered my set, there are just a few places out there that will do it for you. If you have an 04/05 though one of our sponsors has them in stock occasionally, check out the sponsored sales section.

no, those integra lights are not faux hid, they are vrai projector halogen. They are all like that. hid is not the only design that has projector or reflector based.
