I got a PCMCIA adapter and also a compactflash card that fits in the adapter. I put the adapter in my computer with my card and saved a startup image on the card.

For the 06 TSX if u hold down the Map/Guide, Menu, and Cancel buttons for 5 seconds to get into the daignostics screen then hold the menu button for 4-5 more seconds it takes you to another screen where you can change the map color and other things.

There is also a button on the screen that says bitmap display and when i touched the button it showed the bitmap that I previously downloaded to the card but I am not sure of how to get the start up screen to be changed perminently.

Another question is when I touch the map color button it shows 4 buttons on the bottom right save, load, set, default. I changed the map color to the color i wanted and hit save but when I turn my car off and then back on the color change is no longer there.

the color change is temporary, after selecting the color, you just click return until u get to the map
theres a thread thatll tell u how to change it permanently, jus search for it
theres also a thread thatll show you how to change the startup screen, but i dont believe it works with the 06

same thing with the color, not known where the color key is kept in the 06 files.
