05 A/T ECU possibilities

on my list of mods is an upgraded ecu... unfortunately hondata cannot reflash the 05 A/T ECU... are there any alternatives and if so what would be a good suggestion?

Im pretty new to these forums, but if you search you will find MANY threads about this problem for the 05. I know this cause I have read a few.

But to help summarize, from what I understand it has to do with the 05 ECU being VIN specific in its coding (correct?) & therefore you need to swap out the ECU for an 04 & all the needed parts. But to be 100%, Id just search!

Ive done it but my case was different. I had a deal from a guy who was selling his ecu after doing a tranny swap.

You could always take out the DBW and kpro your ECU, but you lose some functionality such as gauges and VSA.
