Had I known this I would have bought an '04 front bumper, mugen grill and mugen lip...it flows so much better than my '06 bumper. Still may do it.

I may do the same....or get the 04/05 Mugen bumper/grill. I like it better than the new one for 06.

Nice work, guys!

Nope, we really didn't know for sure that they were interchangeable, until now.

Also, no, the 06 fogs would not (easily) go into an older bumper, you would need custom housings for them.

Our vendor Heeltoeauto has them in the black market and I believe they're in stock. The only thing is that ALL JDM headlights are for RHD if you want LHD projectors you have to swap them out like REACH did to his headlights.

Why would they all be rhd? what about the european countries which are lhd like the us?

how did reach do it? by opening the headlights? or is there an easier way?

thanks

These headlights are JDM they are not EDM. Yes some European countries do have RHD headlights but nobody has been able to find them. Also Reach swapped out his projectors from his USDM headlights with the JDM headlight projectors. You should PM Reach about how he did it.

i changed out projectors as well, it is somewhat of a PITB but is doable. Using a magnetic screwdriver will definately help with putting it back together after making the swap. If you attempt this you will see what i mean. ALso removing the silica gel pack might make it easier too because it will give you more room to work with.

You guys didn't have to open the housing correct? You had to take the projectors out through the back of the housing? Please explain since I will be getting some JDM headlights next month and will probably be attempting this mod myself.

yes pull out the back, main challenge is that the one of the pieces you need to pull out is like a couple mm bigger than the hole. so you have to apply some pressure and angle it just right

it didn't do any visual damage that you could see form the outside. just some minor scratches on plastic where the whole in the back is. if you are really good you could probably do it without making hardly a single scratch. i did the second one better then the first after i got the hang of it.

The rear lip wil fit actually. Both rears are the same as well.

For the last time, ALL parts are interchangeable, except 04/05 vs 06 specific FRONT LIP pieces only, due to the re-designed front fascia.

So is there still no problem with fitting the 06 and 04 rears? I'm not clear here. The rear bumpers are clearly a bit different.

Well, regardless, he did some modifying of the rear bumper so it does not fit unless you choose to do the same as K24A did.

so it probably won't fit the OEM '05 bumper? i guess i'd have to find an '06+ bumper to match it.

Yes.

Front end swaps fine
Side skirts swap fine
Rear end needs modifying to fit for both 04-05 to 06 or vice versa.

Let's make it clear to those that keep asking the same questions over and over again.

2004-2006 Front Bumpers are Interchangeable.
2004-2005 Front Lip Kits will NOT FIT on 2006 Bumpers (Vice Versa)
2006 Headlights will fit on 2004-2005 Applications (Vice Versa) (Along with JDMs)
Sideskirts are interchangeable on all years.

Rear bumpers will need modifying for lip applications. I would assume the bumpers can be changed as well.

Quick Reply: 04/06 Front end swap is possible
