You'd think I was driving a Ferrari
I recently moved to upstate New York for a job in the Binghamton New York area from North Jersey. Needless to say Binghamtons glory days of wealth and prosperity are long gone, however there are some nice sections here and there. To get a better understanding of Binghamton Urban Dictionary on the web describes it as a overpopulated truck stop. Anway Ive been zipping around town in a new 06 Arctic Blue and Ive ben turning heads literally. This thing isnt modded at all, its just that Acuras dont exist up here. I had one guy ask me what kind of car it was and if it was a new model. The way people have been looking at it I felt like I was driving a Ferrari. It must be because the closest Acura dealerships are 60 and 70 miles away in Scranton, PA and Syracuse and that the average income in Binghamton is $26,000 a year. Just wondering if anyone else lives out in the middle of no where and have had people comment on the car as if it just came out. In the words of Ron Burgandy, it kind of makes me fee like, "Im kind of a big deal"

Let me help you!
De-badge the car for more fun ;-) lol
The first weekend after I got my TSX, I was parking at church, and everyone who was walking by was staring at my car...my baby bro even noticed all of the stares hehe

and even though there's an acura dealership in scranton, most people in the area have no idea what the TSX is there. i've seen 1 other TSX in the scranton area when visiting the parents.

Weird. I never notice anyone looking at my car around here. Maybe because there's tons of Bimmers and Benzs. So many Bimmers that they seem kind of pedestrian to me.

haha ithaca is pretty eh too. The problem...townies hate us college kids even though the college kids basically run the whole economy up there. If you look at the demographics for surrounding neighborhoods..only like 15 percetn of the population went to college and much less are professionals....egag....

lol...i had the same thing happen to me when i went to upstate NY to pick up my rims. It was crazy how the people looked at me. For fun i asked the GPS where the nearest Acura dealer was and it told me it was Ottawa, Canada, which is where i live! I thought that was kinda funny! Even the guy at the boarder when i crossed commented on how nice the car was. Have to admit i didnt mind the extra attention!

Last year when I got my ride, dropped it and threw the wheels on it, I was getting looks out in the middle of the sticks (Port Orchard, WA). I was even told that the car didn't look like it belonged there. The closest dealer is about a half hour away. Now I see another one rollin around every once in a while.

I've had that happen up here in North Dakota. I was parked at a Culvers and a whole family was standing around it pointing and looking at the interior. The closest Acura dealer is 250 miles away in Minneapolis.
