WOW!!!! Just met the hottest TSx ever
Ok guys just got back from the mall where i ran into a fellow owner with a NHB TSX worked nicely. He took a rode trip up from Maryland to have some fun. this dude must have some serious cash. But unfortunatly no pics. caught me by suprise without my digi. But it was actually inspirational. I want more goodies. i didnt really wanna
so i just talked for a few minutes and noticed some awesome mods. here we go
Coilovers
Volk 18's with pirelli p-zero's
comptech rear sway
comptech front tie
K&N CAI
JDM valave cover
Euro R grill
Euro R front bumper
HID fogs
comptech exhaust
comtech headers
silly little hood pins
slotted rotors with aftermarket calipers and pads(dont have any idea what they were)
two-tone leather seating(blue)...i guess some sort of custom job
2 12" JL audio subs
blue under body ligthing
I think thats it but if i remeber anything ill post more. Guys ---it was sick! the guy is gonna email me some pics when he gets back home and ill post them as soon as i can . i also told him about this site and he said he'll check it out. Next he said is Hondata reflash/ECU upgrade and flywheel. very tasteful job.

i'd like to hear what he can do with it. sounds like a show car (under body lighting on a TSX?) even though it has about every performance mod made for the car.

Now that I think about it, he probably just saw fast and furious one too many times. I hate spoiled rich kids.

Let's hope not. Did the blue interior actually look good? I just can't picture it.

hehe. wow. there seems to be a lot of mixed opinions here.
well, i'm not a big fan of comptech, i had it some comptech stuff on my old car, it's too mild - performance wise.
sounds ok, volk 18's are cool. euro r grill is cool. colored leather? i'd rather have racing seats myself, but cool. everybody should do what they like, so kudos to this mysterious guy

were the brakes slotted and cross drilled? i thought simply being slotted didn't help in stopping any better, but destroys the pads a lot quicker than stock flat ones. if not cross drilled, the heat's not going anywhere really...
damn, HID fogs... the most i would spend on fogs would be silverstars or hyperwhites. kinda waste o' money.
colored leather seats are kinda cool, imo. he prolly got the idea from the Audi's blue leather option. i think that's a better idea than getting racing seats, since tsx is not a sports car. it'd make the interior hideous, too.

The problem with cross drilled rotors is that they crack b/c the holes weaken the structural integrity. My roommates Prelude's slotted/cross drilled rotors have hairline cracks all over.
Here's TireRack's explanation for Brembo slotteds.

Here's TireRack's explanation for Brembo slotteds.
Starting with select castings, Brembo Sport slotted brake rotors undergo the race-born practice of machining multiple shallow slots into the disc’s front and rear surfaces to provide paths to disperse built-up heat and gasses, and assist in refreshing the surface of the brake pads. Compared to cross-drilled rotors, machined slots have been widely adopted for racing and street use because they minimize the cracking caused by repeated, high stress, high temperature brake applications. The slots are angled to use the rotors’ direction of rotation to enhance their performance, which makes the rotors side-specific with left and right side rotors. Brembo Sport slotted brake rotors are sold in axle pairs and the easiest way to verify correct usage is to install the rotors on the side of the vehicle that results in the end of the slot nearest the outer edge of the rotor always contacting the brake pads first.

yea kinda sounds cheesy and all but it was actually pretty tasteful except for the neons. Blue leather were inserts in place of our preferrated leather. And the rotors were slooted and over sized. Guy was in his thirties.

between slotted and slotted and x drilled, would their performances differ much?

I don't think slotted or cross dilled will help your braking distance for example. But they should keep your brakes cooler from constant braking, ie: would only be useful in real-life for track racing.
