I have owned my TSX for less than one month, but from what I can tell, it's a "keeper." And, please know that I have had the pleasure of owning several great cars, each one (with only one exception . . . a FIAT) better than the one that came before.

Answer: Yes, decidedly.

I love my TSX and will have it for quite some time. Although, after I got stuck twice this weekend in snow (even with snow tires) at my cottage, the SH-AWD RDX is looking pretty attractive. Of course, an SH-AWD turbo TSX would be better.

yes and I already did. 05 NBP 5AT/non-Navi to 06 CGP 6MT/Navi. I made a mistake the first time of not getting an MT and the Navi. I'm happy now and plan on keeping this one a long time...

not trying to be mean, just a little confused, i guess.
Actually, it quite simple. It's human nature to want more and better just like anything else, like better stereo, bigger house, a better job or more pay from work. I'm sure most people have that experience and can relate to that.

Finally found my true love. The car is perfect after 1 month of ownership and is exactly what I wanted after ditching a 2003 BMW 325i, which was nice but rather unfaithful. Adequate power, good handling, nice luxury, good mileage, good all around car that will be a keeper for a long time.

Even with the numerous inconveniences (e.g., rattles and such), there really is no other car out there that offers the combination of features, quality, brand name and service quite like the A-TSX. Especially at this price.

eh....85%

The caveat, though, is that the new 3-series was not released at the time of purchase (09/2004).

I had an 04 and loved it, my only regret was not getting the Nav.

So I got an 06 and love it as well, my only problem is some personal & famliy issues are forcing me to sell it.

I've had my TSX since June 2003 and I would probably do it again. I love all the mods I've done to the car and it handles better than the BMW I would've bought, but for less money. I also like the rarity of the TSX (less and less rare everyday of course). What I do not like about the TSX is the service, which is why I do most of it myself. It sometimes feels like I'm inconveniencing them.

moda_way .......... Just a quick thread hijack. I'm looking to buy in the Cinti area later this year. When you refer to service I assume you are referring to a dealership. Which one do you work with and what are your impressions of the dealers in Cincinnati? THX

Bought mine at Superior Acura in Fairfield, OH. I hear that Columbia's service might be better, but their sales aren't as attentative.

Again, anytime I've had to bring my car in for a defect, they fixed the issue for me, but the service manager has a job to do, I just don't like it to be so obvious to me. If there was a defect to be fixed, I was either given a loaner or a rental at no cost to me. Guess the point is, when I bought the Acura I was expecting Lexus service. I'd say I'm about 75-80% satisfied with their service.

I also had an unusual clear coat chipping issue and they fixed it, but I had to jump on their paint shop b/c the paint job (though perfect in color) had 1 drip and a few fish eyes.

PM me if you want to chat more.

I regret that I didn't buy the S2000, which is what I REALLY wanted, but I wussed out and bought practical. Now it looks like it will be a while before I can buy an S2000.

However, had I bought the S2k, I'm fairly certain I would have cursed that decision too, based on tire life, space, winter driving, long trips, etc, and would have wished I had bought the TSX.

The only logical solution would be to have BOTH. It may come down, in 2008, to whether to upgrade to a new TSX (hopefully a 2.3T) or to keep my '04 and buy a used S2000 to go with it. I'm confident the TSX will still be in great shape and have many miles of life left in it at that point.

I think a garage with a TSX and an S2000 would be about the best combination a working stiff like me could ever hope for, especially since the gf/future wife drives a Jeep SUV for when I need something more boring and practical than the TSX.

I'm in the exact same boat. Its been my dream for a few years now to own a S2K as a weekend toy. But the 08 TSX MAY be to good to pass up. I guess we'll see.

Me too! 10 yr ago, my original plan is to save up and get a Miata as a weekend car but a baby ruin all my plan. Then 4 yr later when the S2000 debut, my plan was back to live again, but my target became S2000. 4yr ago when I planned to put down deposit on a S2000, my wife hold me off and ask am I really have chance to have fun on my weekend car? since our 2nd baby was on the way! Now I have to ride my kids to school everyday and ride them to learn piano, dancing, drawing, this & that ... on the weekend. If I buy the S2000, it won't be my weekend car! it will become my long weekend car!

bought my '05 tsx in jan. 2005.

if i had to buy again now, i'd still go with the tsx. i don't think it'd be my first choice or preference, but frankly, it's the best value for what my budget is and what i'm want in a car.

that said, i am sooo happy and grateful with my tsx after one year and 3 days of ownership.

Yeah, it sucks...but even if I loose some money now, it will be better than the monthly car payment + insurance + gas etc. over the next 2 years.

Ya I'd maybe do it again. Although a TL might interest me more. The 6spd would definitely happen again and I'd go with Navi this time around.

As much as I enjoy and appreciate the TSX, I also long for an S2000. I've been in a carpool for 18 plus years, and purchased the TSX based on commuting needs, etc., only to have the carpool fizzle out. Driving alone now; long story, something to do with bloody axe-murders, and Cherry Icy-Pops ...

Bottom line is "coulda/ shoulda bought the S2000" so I could enjoy the commute all the more. The somewhat portly nature of the TSX is bothersome; for my tastes, the closer something is to a go-kart, the more I like it.

And what the heck is going on with that weird dude from Albania or where ever it is that apparently has hacked my login here, posting odd crap about cabbages and beets, and totally confusing certain poor hapless denizens of this forum? Am to the make me mad at frontwise exceeds turn soon, you know? Har. Sharp as a rubber mallet ...

If I had to do it again, i would have saved up for a couple of more months and bought the TL. I really need a bigger car with just getting married and thinking about a family in a couple of years, it would be nicer to have a larger car. Not to mention that I just like the TL more than the TSX really. But at the time I bought the TSX, I really could not afford the TL. That has changed and I will probably get one once I pay off the TSX.

I bought an '04 in April 2003.

Yeah, not to mention the TL was only a "spy photo" at that time.

Would you do it again?
Yes...

But I might be inclined to wait for the heated mirrors...

And bluetooth...

And I would have gotten a different color. Everyone and their mom has a CG around here.

It's my second TSX (04 and 05). I will probably get a 07 next year. I love this car. It make a really nice daily driver (winter driver as well).

Cheers

i love my TSX as a great daily driver. my next choice is a toss up between the RDX and 2nd gen TSX (assuming 2.3T I4 w/AWD), but most likely a 2nd gen TSX! i truly love owning honda's 4-cyl engines.

also, i agree with everyones love for the S2000. once i close on my house with a 2 car garage...guess what's also going in there.

I've had mine for several months, and have no regrets. Still fun to drive. Still needs better tires.
