Wood Dash

wood dash again
i'm not a big fan of the steering wheel, it looks weird to me. i'd have to see it in person.
i graduated in poli sci,i'm up in nova working. good times. do you have the wood dash or no, i wasnt sure from your post? i think it looks sweet in pics, but not sure if its cheap looking or whatever in person. hopefully will be test driving this weekend, maybe they;ll have one to see.

I don't have it. Kinda want it though. Maybe after I scuff my interior I'll cover it up w/ the kit.
even if you get the wooden steering wheel, the audio/cruise controls will be grey. There's no way to change them.

Our Red TSX with parchment interior has the wood. We really love it. Makes the car really look like a luxury sport sedan. Don't have the steering wheel but it was on display in the parts department. Several people have really been impressed with the appearance of the car including the interior. The sticker had it listed as $699 and I know on the Acura site it is less. Got the chrome wheels and wood as options and happy with both!

sounds good, i'll have to check it all out this weekend. i'm going testdriving (YAY). i'll see if they have any with the wood dash/wheel around. i think i'm going to like it for the same reason you do, adding to the luxury feel.

Got the wood dash with my parchment on my black 6mt navi. Get lots of great comments on how fine the car looks... both exterior and interior. I originally wanted Black w/ ebony, but I am much happier w/parchment. It seems easier to keep clean than dark interiors and just looks richer. A suttle tint job has also improved the looks.

I had the wood trim put in on purchase, but the new "trim" is truly an add-on. It looked good, but it did not replace the existing plastic, it was placed on it. It takes away the feel of the buttons for the locks and windows and heated seats. If you do have it put on, make sure they are careful not to have the applique rub the sides of the buttons.
I know it is a feel thing, but the buttons felt so much better when the wood came off. Personal opinion, but hey, its my car.
Try to get them to show you a TSX that already has it in.

Personally, I am not a fan of fake wood trim. I like the aluminum accents in mines, but I am thinking about getting the aluminum trim kit and adding more touch to my car. However, wood is good for some and whatever floats their boat.
