Winter floor mats - what do you use?

Winter floor mats - what do you use?
I'm in the Cleveland area, so we get a decent amount of snow/slush over the course of the winter. I'm looking for something to help save the life of the original floor mats.
So, do you use different floor mats in the winter? Or do something else?

I bought a set of the all season mats. I originally thought that I would just use them for the winter, but I found that they are equally useful in during the warmer months as well. It sure beats scrubbing the white TSX embroidery on the carpeted mats once a week cause your passenger doesn't know how to keep their feet off if it!

I don't care for the rubber mats. In a Jeep, maybe, but not the TSX. So I use the original carpeted mats. When/if they get all mucked up, I'll get a new set of carpeted mats and use those for the warm months only and use the first set as my winter mats.

^^ Same
Get the All Season OEM mats from http://www.hondacuraworld.com/Mercha...gory_Code=ATSX . They fit perfectly and hug the edges of the floor so mud/slush won't spill out.
My only gripe... wicked fresh rubber smell for the first few weeks. Goes away, though.

Same here. When I bought my TSX in 2003 I had the dealer thrown in a set of the All season mats (along with the trunk tray, trunk net and the wheel locks). I didn't use my all season mats at first, but as soon as I realized how quickly my original carpet mats were going to get dirty I decided to just use my all season mats. I have been using them ever since.

I've been using WeatherTech rubber mats from MacNeil Automotive for 20 years now.
http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...ustomerVehId=0
The first car I bought them for was a 1987 Integra. I was very happy with that initial purchase: as advertised, the mats were nice and heavy, looked good, fit well and had tremendous capacity. Bought a new set for every car since and, on my recommendation, a number of friends and family members have bought WeatherTech mats, too. No one has been less than pleased. I'd say they're an excellent -- and slightly less expensive -- alternative to the OEM all-season mats. Seems to me the only real advantage the OEM mats have is the molded-in TSX logo, which gives them that made-for-this-car look

I got the Acura "all weather" floormats just after I got the car. As we randomly get rain in the "off season" I just leave them in there all the time. I've never liked how nasty the carpets can get w/ mud and such. Much easier to wash off the rubber-- and I don't have to scream at people who get in my car w/out knocking the guck off their shoes (well... not as loud ). I splurged for the OEM as they fit so nicely! The ridge on the edge is pretty nice too-- has helped w/ all the snow we've gotten this season. I got the WeatherTech trunk mat as I didn't need it to be as exact of a fit.
No kidding on the odor though-- Luckily I mail-ordered them and could leave them on the back porch for a few days to air out before putting them in the car!

Those that got the oem all season mats, do you just put that over the original carpeted mats or do you remove the carpeted one & just use the rubber mats?
I do the latter.

Good thing the dealer threw in those all season floor mats and the trunk tray. I didn't realize that when I bought my car. I like them. I still have my carpeted floor mats under my all season mats in my car. I should take those carpeted mats out.

OEM all season
got them from curry acura in NY on ebay, great deal, and quick delivery. I would've never bought them but since moving back to NY from CA I knew the snow would be murder on the carpet mats. They actually look really good, i might use them all rear round.

I remove the carpet mats, otherwise my clutch pedal doesn't press all the way down

Black OEM all weather mats 24/7
I keep the carpet mats under the trunk tray.
Very easy Maint:
remove mats from car
shake dirt in neighbor's yard
wipe with damp cloth
install and enjoy
I thought it would cheapen the look of the car with the all weather mats, but I think it makes the car look better. I like the extra color contrast with the black mats with the quartz interior. We have lots of sand in New Mexico. You can grind a hole in a carpet mat from the sand if you don't clean them constantly.

I use OEM all season floor mats, they came with the car when i bought it, including the carpet mats. Dunno why some people didn't negotiate to get the mats with the car when you bought it. Dealer will usually throw them in for free.

It has been snowing here at least once a week, and I also park in a dirt lot near my university, so I always run the all-season mats.
The carpet mats are in the all-season mats' box, in storage. I see no reason to carry them around with me...? Do you get a more padded feel with them under the all-season mats?

Other than HunterK1, I may live in the most extreme winter climate from anyone that is in this thread. Or maybe even on the entire board for that matter.
How depressing. :shakehead
Anyway, I bought me some Michelin mats for the winter. We've had a somewhat nasty winter so far and they've held up great. They fit very well in the TSX although I did have to do some trimming for them to fit around the gas pedal. They hold melted snow really well in the little moisture holder pattern thingies, and I haven't once noticed dirty pants cuffs from being dipped into said moisture holder pattern thingies. Cost me $30CAD too, good deal.

Anyone want to SELL their original floor mats?
I noticed a lot of people responded saying they don't even use the original TSX floor mats. Does anyone want to sell their original TSX floor mat? I need a beige (ivory) drivers floor mat. Anyone have one they want to get rid of?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I wished I negotiated all season floor mats as part of my purchase, I paid a little premium since I wanted this combo so I'm sure I could've had it thrown in..
I ended up buying some rubber floor mats from Sams Club for $20. They work REALLY well, though like others I had to trim it a little because of the gas pedal.

I can't stand rubber floormats. I use my original rugs and am just careful with them. I knock off my shoes real good before getting in my car and have others do the same, and about once a week I bring all the rugs into my house and clean them. I have an 04 TSX with 47k miles on it and my carpets are still in at least 7/10 condition. It's not that hard.

Let me help you!
The oem all-weather rubber mats have saved me many times. I've had drinks fall over and spill...without my floor mats, I would have had the floor flooded. Once, someone stepped in gum and came into the car. It was easy cleaning the rubber floor mat.
I originally didn't want to put in rubber floor mats since I liked the look of the carpet, but I was tired of passengers bringing in dirt for my car.

I use the OEM rubber mats. I bought the car used and it was included, still unopened in plastic bags. I originally planned to use them only in the winter, but have kept them on year round. Needed them for the MN winters, just got lazy to change them out and I don't mind them in the summer either. I like that they have this huge lip that keeps liquids on the mat. Trunk tray is nice too.
I took out the carpet mats, they just ride in the trunk.
