Windshield Squirters SUCK!

Does it bother anybody else that the windshield washer squirters throw water only on the BOTTOM of the windshield?

I'm gonna try and see if I can adjust them somehow tomorrow when I get time, but today I had to squirt water on the windshield for the first time, and was quite annoyed at how low they are set..

I'm pretty sure they are adjustable. But you dont want them too high, especially for on the highway.

The windshield squirters are designed to also work when you are moving. When the car is moving, the spray is perfect. It does spray a little low when the car is stopped, but if the aimed it too much higher, it would squirt clear over the glass when the vehicle is moving.

Yea when I got my TSX it was literally squirting at the bottom of the glass. I had my dealer fix it, and the guy totally messed up the nozzle. I had another dealer fix it and it works fine now.

you can adjust them, just be careful doing it. all you need is a flat head screw driver. stick it into the nozzle and pull up a little bit at a time. thats all there is to it.

Haha. This reminds me of something that happened to me about a week ago on my way to work.

I was following a 96+ Ford Taurus. The Taurus was driving 15 in a 45 zone and it was a no passing zone for me....... I was a little close to the Taurus and the Taurus kept spraying its washer fluid out which showered my car...... I guess the 80 year old woman thought that would stop me from following her....

I think she had her car in the first gear position because when I drove past her, her motor was spinning pretty damn fast.

it is annoying but as long as you're going fast enough the fluid squirts higher...

Officer: "Do you realize you were doing 100 in a 50?"
TSX Driver: "I was only trying to clean my windshield..."

Works for me!

Those cars have absolutely horrible aerodynamics around the windshield. I'm currently driving a '95 (go ahead, snicker) and I can't use any wiper blades other than the skinny summer ones. "All season" or Winter blades start lifting off the windshield at anything over 50mph. Big time Other than occassionally not being able to see, I actually haven't had any problems.

Thats scary! When I had my Jetta, the car would shift left really hard every time I used the wipers when going over 85mph. The force of the wind hitting that "wing" actually pushed the car out of the road once... I think I was going close to 100.

I learned to slow down before cleaning the window.

I find the washer tank does last a long time. However, when the low fluid light comes on, the tank doesn't quite take a standard 4.5L bottle of fluid. I'm usually left with a 0.5L to use up later.
