hi, I am getting my windows tinted done this week. I have 07 white pearl TSX, I wanna ask should I go with same percent all around(30% all around) or should go with darker in rear windows(20%) n back window and lighter in front(30 or 35%) because I don't wanna get stop by police like every other day, It used to happen when I had my 07 civic. I am from NY so wanna know your suggestion.

Also gonna get my tail lights done, and my friends said u should go with headlights as well, yes I wanna go with black corners with head lights but can't afford JDM headlights

I would go with the same tint all around, I have a pearl white as well and that's what I did. If you are looking to avoid the police, I wouldn't do the taillights or headlights. Just an opinion.

wat's the rule of lights? i think law is to that tail lights should blink red when braking and orange when turning, yes i know police still bother u n stop for it

Pretty sure you cannot tint your headlights or taillights legally. To avoid the police as much as possible, I would stay away from this and keep your window tint light (30% at the most). I still got pulled over in Jersey at 30%. I moved to NY, got an RDX, and tinted the fronts 50% and haven't had a problem yet (knock on wood).

on my last vehicle i used to get pulled over almost every week on 20% so i changed front one to 30% den never got pull over(probably cuz cops think there's diff between rear n front so he have already changed to legal) i guess i'll go with 30% all around

I have never seen anyone tint the headlights of an Acura TSX. Most people who want to modify their headlights either clear the amber, or replace the unit with JDM.

I drive in NY but my plates are from the Orange State, my shits are pretty dark maybe 20%. never had an issue "knocking on good wood". I love em dark, my friend I got a disorderly conduct ticket thrown out in court because some cops from the 77th thought we were suspicious in his 03 G35 with 30% tints. at 6pm in oct.

i had 20% on my civic and used to get stop almost everywhere, u wont believe i was stopped more 15 times in 4 months(mostly by same officer) but got summoned 3 times, other times PBA card worked ;-) i got tired of it so switched it lighter front windows n never got pulled over after that

BTW do u know any place in NYC where i can headlights clear?

oh BTW i just came back from getting tinted, went with 30% front and 20% rear windows n back window, and 20% taillights and markers on bottom bumper

i have limo tint all the way around... when mine was being tinted the installer told me that if you get your front windshield tinted along with visor will attract police. I dont have my headlights or tailights done. I have had limo here in florida for 3 months now and no issues yet!

it would look good 15% rear windows and 30% front if leagl is 35%, i have 15% tint all around and like the look. it depends on the color interior because if you have light interior go darker tint and dark interior go light just because sun reflects the interior to the tint making it a shade darker or lighter.

When tinting, it's a good idea to have the moleskin liners installed. For whatever reason, our cars didn't come with them, and over time the tint can get pretty scratched up.

yea dats true they get scratched up as they do on my czn's accord but i believe it depends on how professionally it was done cuz on my civic i paid high amount to b done and there weren't any scratches in 3 n half yrs

FYI: I will be getting a white 08 TSX tinted when we finalize a deal and I've been looking for a good and reasonably priced place to get windows tinted. I've been looking into the 3M Crystalline which is supposed to be "the best" and most places around NYC want $500-1000 for crystalline install.

I found a place up north in Mohopac, NY that quoted me at around $250 for Crystalline.

I want to get crystalline for its added protective qualities in combination with being a lighter tint bc of NY's strict (70% on sides) tint laws. Even though it doesn't look as good as 20-30% I'm thinking about doing 50% so I don't get pulled over when going through tolls and stuff (it's happened to me before at tolls).

Anyways the place is called Putnam Window Tint (click link for site) and they are an authorized 3M dealer. I'm in LI and it's about 1.5 hrs from where I live and will probably go there to save a couple hundred $$ on tint.
