windows down and wind resistance?

Hey recently i've noticed when ever I have my rear windows down, i get this unusual woosh sound in and out, i've never noticed it in other cars, but it makes me feel like my tires are flat or something in past experience. Is it the same with you?

I don't think its the tires that are making the sound, but it wells ure sounds like it over 60 mphs.

I know what you're talking about. when you have only your rear windows rolled down, you create something like a storm at your windows. The difference in the pressure in your car is a lot different than the wind that's blowing past you at 60 mph. In turn, the wind comes in and out from the back windows and changes the pressure in your car and a very fast rate back and forth. that pressure that you feel in your ears is what is happening with the pressure

Yes - that is quite the annoying sound/feeling. Pop open the sunroof and you'll equalize the pressure.

I heard this type of sound when my sunroof was open and windows were up. I don't hear it all the time, but I thought something was wrong with my tires. when I closed my moonroof it went away.

I have a similar issue. When I have all the windows and the sunroof open, I hear a loud pop comming from the backseat that sounds like a speaker poping. I wonder if this is the same thing...

do you have the stock 6x9's?? Cause they pop easily and with all the windows down and sunroof open I was having the same problem because you have to turn the volume up... at least that was my guess. It's def the speaker popping cause now that I switched the stock 6x9's out for Alpine Type R's I have no problem...

EDIT: Good rule of Thumb: If it sounds like a speaker pop, looks like a speaker pop, smells like a speaker pop... its prolly a speaker pop

Yeah, I get this too.

If you keep the roof closed, it's fine. Must be some funky pressure thing.

It's sort of like a parachute effect. The backwindow in your car is acting like a parachute. Air is coming in but having troble getting out naturally. The only way to get out for it if you dont equalize the pressure if back out the rear windows which have air being forced in.
You thought it was bad ont he TSX? It was AWFUL on the BMW 540 i had. Felt like an earthquake in my head.

you just need to crack open the front windows/sunroof to let some more air in to stabilize the pressure.

I live in Austin. We can't drive with the windows down unless it is between late February and early April (in the early half of the year) or in October. I still miss the S2K though. I drove with the top down all the time anyway.

If it continues to happen, could it do any permanent damage??
