white stuff from tires

on my front tires there are like white streaks that seem to be coming from places where the tire meets the rim. This is only on the front, not the back. it doesnt really scrub off, but if you rub it really hard with your finger it will come off. the more I drive the more it shows up.....i figured it would go away by now since i have 1300 miles on my car....but its still there and still seems to be coming out...

anyone???

I have them too. You can take them off by applying tire cleaners...

He's probably from the Bible Belt area. You know, it's "evil" to talk about that stuff over there...

hahaha very funny....BUT SERIOUSLY....this is actually a serious concern.....could it be the result of a bad seal, thus a slow leak?

No I believe this is caused by over revving or under steering the corners. It makes the edge of the tires cause to have white streaks .
Yes ... I have them too... just use Meguiars Tire Cleaner, it last me about a month before I have to put another coat.

I have the same thing, 6000 miles later still coming out..... what a pain in the ass. Now it hasnt bothered me bc i got new rims and tires, but i know next month when the weather starts getting shitty i am gonna put the stockers back on, and i will be more annoyed than ever. I am pretty sure its white lithium grease to make a seal around the tire.... its really really hard to removes as well i have used bleech white, and harsh abrasives and that barely does the job... sucks
