As an excited new owner of a TSX, I am now trying to find places to mount holders for my cell phone and for my iPod. I've been noodling around with possibilities, but would like to hear/see pics of what others have done. One obstacle I noticed was that if my cell phone (Treo 650 on Cingular with Goodlink service) is mounted too close to the radio/Nav, I hear interference on the radio when the phone is syncing with the server (anyone else get this?). The iPod gets used relatively infrequently, so I was thinking of just keeping it in the armrest except when being used, but am not sure where to keep it when it is on. Thanks in advance.

 

I use PPC6601 from Sprint. I have the business mail like you do. I never hear any interference like you described. Maybe because Cingular and Sprint are on different frequencies? :idunno:

But in regards putting you ipod or Treo in the car, I bought a holder that ican be bolted to the passanger seat. I don't have a pic at the moment. So far it works great.

 

I keep my V3 in the compartment under the radio and get the same interference with Cingular GSM... never had that problem with my V60 TDMA.

 

Check out http://www.proclipusa.com for mounts. They only have 1 mount listed for the TSX (part # 833471), but if you go to the company's website that actually makes the mounts (http://www.brodit.com) and search for the Acura TSX, there is actually another mount (part # 853228) as well. They even have pics of this mount inside the car, so it clearly fits the TSX. If you were to search for that part number on proclip's website, it comes up as a Honda Accord mount for some reason.

Now, once you find the mount for your vehicle, you need to purchase a mount for your device. They have mounts for just about EVERYTHING - even phones that have only been on the market a couple of months. They make universal mounts as well, should you need one.

Anyway their mounts are great. I have one in my TL right now for my Tom Tom GO 300 navigation system. MUCH better option than the windshield mount the navigation system came with!!
