Where in NorCal to get service A12?

Before anyone says anything, I tried a search and I couldn't find an answer hahaha

Alright, I'm heading back home next week and I want to get service A12 performed while I'm there. I called my local dealer (Butts Acura in Monterey) for a price quote, and they asked for $350!! WTF? Is it just me, or is that steep just for an oil change/tire rotation/filter replacement?

Have any of you gotten this service at Sunnyvale Acura/Pleasanton Acura/etc for a cheaper price? If not, fuck this...I'm gonna learn how to change my own fucking oil and filter

Thanks!

A12 --> Oil change, tire rotation, and filter replacement

That sounds more like a B1 which I had done 4 months ago and cost only $149.00 (but then again, I have a good relationship with BUTTS Acura).

Don't pay $350! That's all I gotta say.

I may have a friend in the area that can do the service for you. He's a Honda tech but does stuff on the side sometimes too. He was the one that did my rotors and brake pads.

You should be able to do the services yourself though as long as you have a jack and some jackstands. Or if you really don't want to do it, let me know and I may even come and do it for a good price.

Where are all these service names coming from lately? I've seen a few threads in the past few days referring to them by some alphanumeric combination that seems completely foreign to me. Are these from the 06+ models that tell you when you need service?

Hey, do you go to UCI? I went there for my undergrad.

Anyways, if this is something that you think can wait, I'd suggest a place in Garden Grove, which I believe is called Mastertek Honda/Acura Specialists, on the corner of Chapman and Knott. I went there for the first time a week and a half ago for my first B1 service (I own an '07). Really can't say too much about them since I didn't need a lot of work done, but they were friendly. I dropped my car off in the morning and they even drove me to work (a few blocks away, ~1.5 miles). Oh and they charged me $49 for the B1 service.

You got it. When it's time for service, the MID displays a message along with a alpha-numeric service code. You can then look up the code in your manual for the details of the service requested.

Thanks! Maybe I'll give you a PM if I decide to go that route.

EDIT: Just seeing your sexy TSX would be worth paying you to do it...hahaha

Just go to your local tire shop, Jiffy Lube, etc and ask for an engine oil/filter change and a tire rotation. Buy the engine and cabin air filters from your local kragen's. You can swap out the two filters in less than 20 min with a screwdriver.

Yeah, I decided that's pretty much what I'm gonna do. I have an oil change scheduled on Thursday at the dealer, and I'm gonna take my car to Costco and get my tires rotated for free. As for the pollen filter and air filter, I'm gonna do those on my own. I know the pollen filter is the one behind the glove box, and is the air filter talking about the filter in my intake? So it's just two filters right?

Thanks!
