As far as I know the 2005 TSX will be in showrooms in october Of 2004! 14 Months to go.

 

At the end of summer if i had to guess of next year.

 

hmm, does that mean after the quota of 15k TSX are made, no more will be made untill the 05 model year?

 

hmm, from what i can gather the '04 TSXs came out in april-may of '03? then why would they wait till october of '04 for the '05 TSXs? i would understand if the '04 TSXs weren't selling well so the dealers would have a surplus on their lots...but since we know this is not the case theses guesses dont make sense

kurt: do you know since u work at a dealer? or any other acura salesmanagers out there?

 

We need to be thankful for Kurt's participation. I do know that other Acura dealers monitor this and that other forum.

Acura has originally stated that there would be an annual quantity of 20K units per year. Since the '04 was not introduced until April '03, only 15K units will be produced until the end of this year.

And, as long as they keep selling, Honda/Acura will keep producing.

In other words, an average of 1667 units will be produced every month.

 

Pretty simple reason really, the all-new RL will launch in the spring of next year. Acura does not like new car introductions to "pile up" on top of eachother. This is also way the TSX came out early, the '04 TL will launch in early October. The '05 TSX will surely come out late next year.

Nobody ever said that there would only be 15,000 cars. The estimate was for 15,000 cars for the remaining 9 months of 2003, and up to 20,000 for 2004 (depending on when the model year ends....)

 

I am also wondering this because someone who is in this forum also is trying to help me get a car at a dealership. When he asked for my combo (black/black/6sp/navi) they said they might not be able to get it anymore. So I told him to tell them I'll even wait 3-4 months if I have to. Anyone know if after the 15,000 mark they end production there??

 

Really? Where I live they aren't selling well at all. Population here is about 250,000 and I've only seen one on the road. I check every weekend and the same ones are sitting there on the dealer lot. Fine with me, I'd rather not see myself on every corner...

It looks like acura will be making some changes on the TSX, i wonder what it could be, :rattle, rattle:
