Question What's this wire/plug for?

Perhaps a question...

But what's this wire/plug for? Don't think I noticed it before until recently after I got my body kit installed.

Is it supposed to be tied to that location? Seems pretty opened to the elements to me. If not, where's it supposed to go?

Thanks!

Maybe it's the 2008 Hybrid version
Or maybe it's the plug for the block heater

Yes, it is a block heater.

Since you live in Vancouver Canada, I'd suggest using it during the harsh winter months.

Indeed... you won't use it much in VCR, but others in SK and MB would definitely need it more! I still remember my first experience in Saskatoon and Winnipeg, where rental cars come with the snow brush, ice scraper, and an extension cord for the block heater!

That's odd. I don't remember getting the engine block heater as an option. Interesting. Thanks all!

Sure looks like a plug for a block heater. If all cars are not so equipped, then maybe Honda includes it with cars delivered to colder climates, although I'd think it would be easier (and probably cheaper) to just build them all with it if they're going to offer it. (I'll have to check mine since I'm on the east coast).

Thanks all for the confirmation! I'm not sure why it's there since I never ordered that option, but hey, it's all good.
